On next stage Meche fights wizards and oozes for the 1st time. As always, napalms work wonders here:

She receives another recipe (Shrimp Doria) and uses Quick-Grow to grow some fruits quickly:

Another Axe-knight waits for Meche on next stage. She uses Ice Spirits this time. This Mix is much better than Flame Spirits IMO - 'frozen' status lasts much longer than 'burned':

Meche kills the knight and wizards who were supporting him:

Meche goes back SE, kills more wizards and goblins:

Next stage is filled with wizards. Meche gets her ass burned a little:

Meche starts with the most difficult one - three waves of wizards who can summon oozes and evil eyes...
Luckily for Meche, at some point I realized that her Arcane Bolts can kill oozes (total decline in difficulty) and Piercing Shot is very effective against wizards:

Meche clears another stage and grabs new recipe (Pancake). She continues to the final stage, learns new Skill:

Urzur plays around with King Edmund in Titania, Beldor fucks things up in Ringford and Skuldi takes care of things in Volkenon.
Only Odin is wise enough to stay away from them...

The names of the three Wise Dudes slightly remind me of the three Norns. It's Skuldi, Beldor and Urzur instead of Skuld, Verdandi and Urd, but you have to consider the japanese gift for distorting occidental names...

Well they dont commonly use Romaji, they use Hiragana and Katakana (and Kanji) and so names get distorted due to translation, add the reverse translation and we can get a mess.

Take Skuld, in A!MG were characters used translate Skuld to Sukurudo (スクルド), Verdandi to Berudandī (ベルダンディー,) and Urd to Urudo (ウルド), translation back got most of then right but we still ended up with Verdandi ending up as Belldandy.

This battle may look simple, but it actually isn't. Beldor is different than other wizards - you can only hit him when he's stunned (after being hit by his own swords).
That means neither Piercing Shot nor Napalm work against him:

Meche pwns both Axe-knights

And is able to damage Beldor a bit

When suddenly:

Our loli is fucked now - she's frogged, poisoned and burned!

And she doesn't have proper mandragora to be able to create Metamorphosis (M4+Habaneristo)

She tries to last long enough for the frog status to wear off

But she gets owned ultimately...

Well, that's how the story in this game works. It was created mainly to allow chracters fight each other and kill some bosses.
Events happening in each book shouldn't be treated as something continuous - there will be some events concerning Mercedes in next books for example.

The only "linear" book is the final one (despite its non-linearity). It presents everything that happens during the Armageddon in continuous way.
