Bro checks out the situation
Except the guards, site looks clear.
Eklek moves east to lay some mines. Suddenly, a wild mutant patrol appears!
Eklek follows them in a distance
And starts laying mines on their patrol route
Luckily for him, the guards at the southern gate didn't mind
Eklek hides in the building where root and WC are.
After a moment one of the mutants triggers a mine. Two of them show up close to the building:
Eklek pops out, kills one of them, but the other one counterattacks
Thank god that the burst bug spared root and WC this time.
Eklek switches gun (low accuracy) but isn't able to kill the enemy
Lette joins Eklek, who kills the enemy at last. Warcupine leaves his hiding place, gets shot by another mutant who was still lurking nearby:
Dumb bastard didn't spot Lette. A big mistake:
root heals WC, we wait for some time but no more patrols show up.
Eklek goes out to pick up the mines (for future use).
I didn't know that using Traps Skill to disarm something disables Sneak, but Eklek survied
He mines the western entrance this time
root attacks the guards at the southern gate, hoping that they leave their post and run into the minefield.
Problem is, they decide to keep their post. Still they can't hit root back, so their death is simply a question of time
WC pulls the exact same trick at the western gate
The key to winning in such situation is using only one sniper against enemies equipped with burst weapons (to avoid burst bug).
More enemies show up after a while:
Thanks to Bro's Awareness I know that they're melee. Let's wait till they come close.
Bro joins WC. He attacks from different area, so burst bug should not affect him.
Our units from left to right: Bro, Monkey (hiding), WC, Lette & Eklek (hiding), root.
Using two snipers shooting from the same area is a suicide - enemies will target one of them and kill the other one due to the bug.
But if you use only one unit, everything should be fine.
And enemies only make this easier, shooting their BROS-in-arms in the back:
Monkey joins the battle as well
Lette moves NW to help snipers against melee units. root switches to his lazor pistol
The battle continues. Enemy mutant moves closer and closer to root, but that only makes hitting him easier
I could've used Eklek to kill the enemy, but let's keep him hidden for later use
Enemies at the western gate are close to the mines at last!
Monkey scores a 53 HP hit with a Sniper Rifle
root takes out the melee mutant
Enemies botch our perfect plan:
Monkey switches to the shotgun, kills one of them
Warcupine takes out the more dangerous one
He changes his weapon and target
Enemy survives four shots from WC's pistol. Monkey inclines the situation:
Eklek leaves his position, moves N, attacks the enemy, but isn't able to kill him!
R.I.P. Bro!
Our negro is lucky this time - enemy is either out of ammo or took an oath not to kill black people. He does nothing during computer turn.
Eklek shows him some Black Power:
Bro checks out the enemy perimeter inside the base:
Lette finds another hidden enemy. Bro flushes him out:
Lette does the rest:
Eklek disarms remaining mines
It's time to attack the interior!
