Chapter 16: We are pretty badass
Prosper's Children vs White Wolves, go!
Our Hobbit is taken out of commission pretty early on. He has really weak armor so it's to be expected.
Their Kaamio attacks Elfberserker, but he's blown away with a single attack. Our guys are snared so they don't move.
Finally Piper is free
To smash their Lizardman all over the arena walls
The enemies keep focusing on Jester II so he keeps healing himself. Eventually Elfberserker is free from his bonds so he attacks.
Their Sorceress is taken down in a flash
Elfberserker ends their Elf as well before Piper gets a chance at him
Our first CUP match in this season is against the Masters of Sword
Their Knight falls first
And their Dwarf next. Piper attempts to flank the enemy.
But he's shot down. Azira bravely makes his way to engage the enemy.
Elfberserker is shot down as well! What was an advantage for us has completely turned against us.
Azira slams their Orc as our Druid is shot down next
Hurrah! Azira has come back at full force and pulled our whole team with his own strength!

We get a mithril armor for Azira as well since it is on sale
Next on the platter are the King's Champions. We are undermanned since our Minotaur and Hobbit are both injured.
But that does not stop Prosper's Children from bringing hell into the battlefield
Piper decimates the whole team with his inhuman power
And then goes off to engage their Hobbit
And smashes him!
Eventually Azira ends his epic duel and manages to KO their Kaamio
Our 2nd CUP match against the Warlords of Olor. They shoot Elfberserker down pretty fast. Piper hits their Minotaur with the strength of a titan and takes both their Barbarian and Minotaur out.
Then our heroes engage their Elf and Goblin. It might not appear so, but they are actually the deadliest members of the enemy's team, both in melee and ranged combat.

The Goblin, despite all his skill, cannot overcome the fearsome foe that is Piper
Our current place in the seasonal CUP rankings
The current season programme. Next we have the Lords of Chaos again in a normal match followed by a CUP match.
Elfberserker was injured during the last fight so we field shiteatingnippledick instead. Their Wizard casts his dark magic and KO's our Hobbit with relative ease. Piper sends their Lizardman flying far, far away.
Azira KO's their Dwarf. Piper is taken down by their Minotaur.
Azira dispatches their Minotaur quickly. Each turn spent is a turn that the enemy Wizard can use his deadly magic.

Damn we are finally becoming true force of Brute awesomeness. I love the blood sprite when someone gets smashed.

Chapter 17: Lessons in humility through loss
Déjà vu? We begin the next chapter against the White Wolves, also with one of our main combatants injured.
Azira unzips his mighty spear and impales their Bearman. Honestly, we hardly need to even try against these chumps anymore.
Boom!
Once again shiteatingnippledick gets shot due to his poor armor. Piper ends their miserable Wizard from casting any more Wizardry.
Splat! We are just toying with them at this point.
Training montage! We are in the CUP finals so we train our Warriors. We increase Elfberserkers HP from 20 to a whopping 22!
We do the same for Azira, but we also train his Power and Speed as well since they are cheap to increase for a pretty good upgrade.

We wait for their Kaamio to come to us while Jester II distracts the enemy ranged attackers by diverting attention to him while he attempts to out heal them
But their barrage is too much for 1 Druid and he falls. Next they shoot Elfberserker.
Azira manages to end their Kaamio
But then he, too, is shot down
Our Rockmonster alone isn't enough against 3 guys with the best equipment in the game. We lose the CUP match for this season! Oh well. these guys were really tough.
Next up are the King's Champions, the 1st division dropout. We are unable to field a full team as we have two guys in the hospital.
Elfberserker slams their Lizardman before he is able to wreck havoc blessed by the gods themselves
He comes back and Elfberserker finishes him off properly this time. Our Hobbit is once again taken down first due to his poor armor. The ranged AI loves to attack your weakest link first.
Elfberserker is a mighty foe. Even with 3 melee combatants, one of them being the blessed race for this month, are unable to take him down.
Our Minotaur dips down to critical levels. He pushes their Kaamio back to give Jester II time to heal him!
The Kaamio engages but then Elfberserker ends him. Jester II keeps fizzling his spells.
It is simply too much for Elfberserker, even he has his limits. Their Hobbit dispatches our weakened hero.
Can't win em' all.
This was the last match of the season, also the deciding match to see who will go to the 1st division and who will stay in the 2nd. Since we tied with the King's Champions but lost to them we will still stay in the 2nd division for one more season as they go back up.
The season is officially over and we have entered the winter holidays. Santa Claus brings us a gift in the form of the Mahtimiekka (Mighty sword) being on sale. We give Elfberserker the gift of carnage. Merry Christmas!
Once again Elfberserker is top badass and earns us another 500 kr stipend. Honorable mentions to Piper in 3rd place and Azira in 6th.
The programme for season 929. First up, Lords of Chaos. This season should be a bit more bountiful to us in terms of money since we don't have a 1st division drop out to compete against.
Prosper's Children had a nice 2 month rest and is ready for the next season. Right off the bat Azira is targeted by a nasty spell.
Jester II keeps healing Azira as our Minotaur tries out his new weapon. Their Lizardman didn't stand a chance.
Their bearded midget is felled by our Rockmonster
Piper engages their Minotaur and pushes him back with a powerful blow
Azira and Piper switch places. Our Barbarian stabs the Minotaur in the gut with his legendary spear.
Elfberserker is sitting it out since he's low on health. Piper attacks their Wizard but does not KO him, but does push him back.
Unfortunately that means that he wasn't being blocked anymore so he was free to cast a spell. He made a last ditch desperation attack and uses one of his spells to KO Elfberserker. The fiend! Azira sneaks up from behind a tree and thrusts his spear into the Wizards back.
Next up the Knights of Cull. Our heroes assume some strange formation instead of engaging the enemy in a line formation.
Their Gnoll is taken out by Piper. The force is strong enough to damage their Elf as well.
Elfberserker finishes their puny Elf with his mythical Minotaur strength and legendary blade
Azura pierces their Iceman as his body shatters. It'll take 4 months for the doctors to put him back together.
We failed to get into the 1st division, but if we struggle against their dropout then perhaps we haven't any business to be there in the first place, yet. Nevertheless, we are slowly starting to equip our Warriors with the best armor available. Soon we will be able to stand toe-to-toe with the best. We will fight tooth and nail and claw our way into eternal glory in the arena. There is no giving up now! Be sure to get front row seats to witness first hand as Prosper's Children rise to heroic status amongst the Gladiator community.

Yes, the blood splatter is a nice touch that make big critical hits SO much more satisfying. Unfortunately one of the few things that Areena 5 did worse was the blood by turning it into some kind of ridiculous star. It just doesn't have the same kind of edge or brutal satisfaction to it.

Chapter 18: Taking the whole 2nd division by the balls
The beat down in the 2nd division continues. The first CUP match of the season against the Holy Defenders. Their Wizard tries to curse Jester II, but he resists it.
Their only melee fighter receives a thrashing as our warriors advance the enemy. They seem to be getting nervous.
Jester II is KO'd by a combination of magic and ranged attacks, next they focus their efforts on taking down Azira
Ouch! Elfberserker slams their Knight against the tree and he's badly injured.
Azira stabs their Elf in the groin and he falls down in agony
And Piper hits their fragile Wizard with his huge club. Easy.
The next month we are up against the Dragonslayers, I do believe they were the ones who went up into the 1st division last season so they should be the strongest within the 2nd division.
With a combined effort Azira and Elfberserker are able to fell their Kaamio
Piper is no mere man, for he is a Rockmonster. And Rockmonsters have earth shattering strength, this is what their Iceman learns.
Jester II laughs at the enemy for wasting their time on focusing him with ranged attacks. He even improves at using his healing magic. Nice.
Ow, but he's shot down minutes later. Oh well at least he played his part.
Their Knight and Goblin find themselves being sandwiched by 3 muscular and sweaty guys
Our Minotaur teaches their Knight the concept of high speed. Unfortunately he is not in any kind of condition to appreciate it.
Azira uses his brute forces to destroy their feeble Goblin. He did not stand a chance!
Our 2nd CUP match, against the While Wolves
They seem to have picked up a few new tricks. Their ranged attackers seem more lethal. Jester II is unable to handle it on his own and is KO'd.
Azira and Piper handle the Bearman while Elfberserker goes to block the enemy from using any more ranged attacks
Their Wizard suffers quite the blow and will probably sit in the hospital for a good few months
At least the Wizard won't be alone
In fact, the whole team will be joining him!
Piper comes to our office and proudly declares that he has been able to knock so many people out this season that he can walk safely even in the alleys. Not that I'd expect random cut purses to be in the habit of attacking giant monsters made out of rock in the first place.

Their Lizardman takes out Piper
Our Minotaur stays back to handle the Lizardman in a 1on1 and tells Azira to go and take care of their Orc
Azira thrusts and parries! Their Orc is taken down after a short duel.
Elfberserker rockets their Lizardman at their Knight, causing even more damage to both of them. They are both injured and sent to the hospital.
Since we are rich and the best armor, Mahtihaarniska (Mighty armor) is on sale, we buy it for Elfberserker. He's ready for the big league now!
Semifinals against the Stars of Sun
Their ranged attackers do massive damage to Jester II. He tries to hold for out as long as possible.
But he inevitably falls. Their Gnoll and Orc attack, but our Minotaur takes their Gnoll out of the game fast.
Piper hits their Orc and he's knocked out cold.
Azira is shot down next
Our Minotaur engages the enemy in hand-to-hand combat. They attack him but he deflects their blows with his sword.
Elfberserker assesses that the Wizard is the weaker target so he takes care of him first
Piper finally joins the fight but he's a bit too late. Their Barbarian falls to our sword wielding muscle Minotaur.
CUP Finals, here we come (again)! I wonder how it'll go this time? Hopefully we won't be shot down like fish in a barrel this time! Only way to be sure is to join Prosper's Children again in the next chapter!

Chapter 19: Showing these chumps who's boss of this gym and making lots of money doing so.
The Knights of Cull are nothing worth noting at this point anymore
Piper is snared so Azira and Elfberserker make their way up

our Minotaur find himself shackled by magical bonds. Gah! Azira is left to fend off the enemy Orc and Elf alone. He makes quick work out of their pathetic Orc.
Their Elf following next. Piper is freed from the magic and makes his way up the arena.
Elfberserker puts an end to their magical onslaught
Piper hits the knight so hard he staggers behind and hits Elfberserker. Oops. All damage was absorbed by his armor, luckily!
Everyone continues to become better at fighting. Good, good.
Finally, the much awaited season CUP finals! Masters of Sword are pretty tough guys so it'll be interesting to see how Prosper's Children fare against them.
Much to our annoyance they have 3 ranged attackers. Their only melee, their Knight, tries to stand up to Piper but he is quickly found unconscious laying across the arena floor in a puddle of blood, tears and urine.
Ow, Jester II is shot down. In fact all of these midgets are giving us a hard time. They keep pushing back our melee guys with their mighty blows, despite their short stature. They're strong as hell.
Elfbeserker attacks their Goblin. He is hit by sheer luck is alive with one HP left. His next attack proves to be a fruitful one as he smashes the Goblin who turns into a piñata of blood.
Piper, too, is very low, but scores an almost miraculously lucky hit (miraculous due to his low chance to hit with his weapon). Both their Goblin and Hobbit won't be waking up for a long time after this match.
Azira completes the triad by making sure that the whole team will be spending the next months recovering in the hospital.
Yeaaaah! Once again we are the CUP champions, and this time not due to the enemy being undermanned! We get another 1500 kr as extra payment. We'll be sure to put forth the money into something productive.
Last but not least, this seasons last match against the Dragonslayers
Our Hobbit is shot down immediately so we check through the enemy combatant and determine that the biggest threat is clearly their Knight. We bait their Iceman to engage our Rockmonster right in front of their Knight.
So we can kill two birds with one stone. Now THIS is ranged combat.
The rest of their team cannot hope to survive now that they have been cut down in such a rapid speed. Elfberserker smashes their Goblin.
And their Elf, as well. That's it! The end of the season.
As well as the end for the 2nd division. We finally made it! We're finally in the big league now!
While we are enjoying the winter holiday we buy a Mighty armor for Azira. Now both Azira and Elfberserker have the best weapons and best armor. This should give us a fighting change in the 1st division.

The upper management is very pleased with us for making it this far. They reserve the market square in preparation for the championship party.

The Knights of Cull are nothing worth noting at this point anymore

our Minotaur find himself shackled by magical bonds. Gah! Azira is left to fend off the enemy Orc and Elf alone. He makes quick work out of their pathetic Orc.
Their Elf following next. Piper is freed from the magic and makes his way up the arena.

Piper hits the knight so hard he staggers behind and hits Elfberserker. Oops. All damage was absorbed by his armor, luckily!
Everyone continues to become better at fighting. Good, good.
Finally, the much awaited season CUP finals! Masters of Sword are pretty tough guys so it'll be interesting to see how Prosper's Children fare against them.
Much to our annoyance they have 3 ranged attackers. Their only melee, their Knight, tries to stand up to Piper but he is quickly found unconscious laying across the arena floor in a puddle of blood, tears and urine.
Ow, Jester II is shot down. In fact all of these midgets are giving us a hard time. They keep pushing back our melee guys with their mighty blows, despite their short stature. They're strong as hell.
Elfbeserker attacks their Goblin. He is hit by sheer luck is alive with one HP left. His next attack proves to be a fruitful one as he smashes the Goblin who turns into a piñata of blood.
Piper, too, is very low, but scores an almost miraculously lucky hit (miraculous due to his low chance to hit with his weapon). Both their Goblin and Hobbit won't be waking up for a long time after this match.
Azira completes the triad by making sure that the whole team will be spending the next months recovering in the hospital.
Yeaaaah! Once again we are the CUP champions, and this time not due to the enemy being undermanned! We get another 1500 kr as extra payment. We'll be sure to put forth the money into something productive.
Last but not least, this seasons last match against the Dragonslayers
Our Hobbit is shot down immediately so we check through the enemy combatant and determine that the biggest threat is clearly their Knight. We bait their Iceman to engage our Rockmonster right in front of their Knight.
So we can kill two birds with one stone. Now THIS is ranged combat.
The rest of their team cannot hope to survive now that they have been cut down in such a rapid speed. Elfberserker smashes their Goblin.
And their Elf, as well. That's it! The end of the season.

We begin the 1st division with our first opponents, the Stars of Sun
As usual, our melee warriors close in. Jester II tanks the attacks and heals himself without problems.
Arg! Azira is shot down by magic.
Elfberserker tries to salvage the situation by slamming their Orc with his sword
Next Jester II explodes in a spray of blood. Our Minotaur continues to chop down the enemy.
Piper does his part as well
A close call, but we pull through!

Azira thrusts his spear through their midget and critically hits him for a ton of damage

Elfberserker intercepts the flanking Goblin and KO's him. Piper attacks their Wizard but gets thrown back by his powerful blow.
The trio gang up on the Wizard. As a last ditch effort he KO's Piper, but not too badly. This marks our second win in the 1st division!
The first CUP match this season is against the Warlords of Olor
We proceed with our usual tactic
Both their Barbarian and Kaamio get taken back, but aren't KO'd
Jester II distracts the enemy and keeps healing himself
Azira KO's their Kaamio, their Goblin knocks out Piper
Elfberserker gives the arena spectators what they all want: a fountain of blood
Azira stays behind and KO's their Goblin, Elfberserker engages the Elf and stops him from using his damned bow any longer
But not soon enough! Azira is shot down, but our Minotaur ends the Elf. And the first victory in the CUP goes to us!
Next month we have a regular ol' match against the Warlords of Olor
Since Elfberserker injured their Barbarian pretty badly they use a Bearman as a substitute
In a blink of the eye our Minotaur bloodies their Minotaur with a spectacular hit!
Piper KO's their Bearman
Their Goblin attacks from behind the KO'd Bearman but is instantly put down by Azira, once again
Elfberserker finishes off their Elf. Much to their misery, history repeats itself!

We bring up both gladiators max health value from 22 to 24, then we head off to fight against the Stars of Sun again
The enemy tries to summon a hobo to attack Jester II, but he resists it.
Whoa! In a flash a LOT of shit has gone down. Both teams lose half their guys in an instant. Azira has to take down two heavily decked out guys on his own. Well, Jester II provides magical support, but if Azira gets KO'd then we lose.
Azira takes down their Wizard, but he is really low on health.
Jester II heals him, though! After about 5 or 8 rounds of Azira missing (the Orc is extremely proficient with his spear and Azira only has a 27% chance to hit) he DOES manage to get a lucky hit through and we win!
The funny thing about being in the 1st division is that you get to fight everyone twice as much when you add in the CUP matches as well
Haha, they didn't recover from the beating we gave them last month. This shit is gonna be easy.
Next month will be even more brutal for them since they just lost their Kaamio as well

But he isn't finished yet. Their Elf gets slapped like a bean bag.
Our Minotaur ends it all by stomping their midget.

We prepare our Gladiators for the last match of this season. We are swimming in money so we use it to train our gladiators, beginning with Elfberserker.
We hit the maximum capacity for his HP, 26.

Simply, we sold everything Piper was equipped with!

Azira laughs at how pathetic the Bearman is at deflecting. He easily stabs him and puts him down in his place.
Damn! Azira's normal attacks can do even as much as 40 damage now. Even with the best armor that's still gonna KO most enemies with a single hit.
Elfberserker finishes the fight by punishing their Elf
Once again the fans shower us with money. Even shiteatingnippledick gets some!

Prosper's Children is #1 in the first division. With 6 wins it means that we didn't lose a single match!
And that's it! We are the overall champions of the arena now! We did it! There is no team that is currently better than Prosper's Children. We started off small, came a long way, and ended up as the undisputed bad asses in the whole arena, bar NONE. I'd like to thank you all for joining me on this nostalgic trip.
