Soon, the comments of how small and young our team is come pouring in from the media.

Despite this slight on our team's name, we continue to prepare for the upcoming preseason friendly matches.

Given that they are a First Division team, even if we get blown out of the water, there are still plenty of positives that can come out of this game.

A bunch of staff contracts will expire at the end of the year, but since we can't really afford to lose anyone, I signed them all on for their requested new contracts.

Nurnburg just played another game against a semi-pro Austrian team, and blew them away.

We submit our lineup, and it's almost time for the game to begin.

As they are a first division team, they are predicted to see us off fairly easily.

The pep talk had no affect on any players, so we'll just ignore it for now.

The game starts off really well, with a Black freekick leading into a Blakemore goal at the 5:30 mark.

Scrooge sneaks one past the keeper at 7:45.

Scrooge blasts another one past the keeper at 10:15

That ends the action in the first half, besides Scrooge picking up a yellow card at 45+1.

The opposition scored for the first time at 48:45 after a successful block dropped the ball into their hands again.

Scrooge completed a hat-trick off a penalty shot at 53:10.

Besides a few yellow cards for the other team, that was the end of the otherwise eventful game.

We had a ton of shots, and a bunch on goal too.

The overall stats weren't nearly as one sided as the final score.

Scrooge ran away easily with the Player of the Match award.

Even after we knock out a giant in supreme fashion, we're still being held down by the media.

Here, obviously
I meant the summary ones that show our age, wage, and point allocation.

It isn't really a big deal, but it would be nice to know who are stars and who are being carried.

A prominent member of FC Codexia's supporters' club has urged fans and players not to get too carried away after their remarkable 4-1 victory

FUCK THAT, CHUG CUM, HERBS

IT'S SMASH OR BE SMASHED AND WE ARE THE SMASHERS

Great, there'll be no end to scrooges smugness now that you let her score a hat trick. someone needs to tell them midfielders to pass the ball to the striker god damn it!

Once we get through the friendlies, so that I have an idea of what needs adjusting, and so biographies have a chance to self generate.

After our first display goes significantly better than predicted, the board requires me to choose our win bonuses.

As much as I'd like to offer a higher than normal bonus, the board simply doesn't have the funds to offer it.

Hah! The bookmakers just haven't seen the level of quality FC Codexia possesses. We'll certainly show them better than a mid table finish.

Squad numbers are decided.

And it's on to our second match.

So basically, other than injuries, we know nothing. Wonderful job, scouts.

Slightly different lineup this time around. Maybe Azira can score instead of letting Scrooge run away with all of the goals.

With the bookmakers at odds over this match, it should be interesting, at least.

Yet again, none of you responded to the pregame pep talk.

The first half of the game proved to be rather uneventful, with the half time stats looking drab.

As the second half gets underway, Yeye has a great opportunity.

That, of course, gets knocked away by the keeper.

At 56:50, there looks to be an easy block for Spigot.

Well shit.
Even better, only a few minutes later Volly Volourn picks up a yellow card.

A no problem block for Bear.

I don't even. I can't even right now.

And that's the whole game. Nothing fun for our side.

Full time stats.

And the news report afterwards.

Also, why not take a video? Upload doesn't take too long when you've got hang of it and if choose 'highlights' and max speed should be quite short

I'm more of a screenshot man, but short vids of the interesting parts I'd like.

Sitting through 10+ minutes of video, nope, not so much.

Text+image is best. The short animations for goals were a nice touch, but I'd rather not sit through a 15-minute video.

It's clear I'm the Neymar of the team. As soon as I'm off the starting lineup, they collapse like brazilians. :smug:

Why not make both?

I found pics were a lot more of a pain to create... once you make a video you can make screenshots / captions from it. Leave the vid as a link for those interested

Wasn't sure if people were interested in a video or if the text+image was preferred.
Whatever makes it easier for you to keep those matches coming is fine by me, though I don't prefer bloated videos either. I would, however, like to see the post-match player stats.

After the latest loss at the hands of Evian TG, Codexia's young midfielder Agnes Failure gave a brief statement to the local radio station that was broadcasting the debacle live:
1rt24lF.jpg

I'm starting to have serious doubts in our Danish striker tandem's competence. Both of them are too large and unwieldy for our creative syle of play. Particularily mine. I think we need more tiny German girls to lead the offence.

"Vy yoo no like big man? Vy yoo vant tiny peeple? Me too big for yoo? Me make you feel too tiny? Ho, tiny man. Giv ball to me, ai vill make proud!"

Seriously though, just pass the ball to the striker, and you'll see results. +M
