X-Com soldiers received fire from that direction. A thermobaric rocket was fired at an orchard. It failed to kill the alien, though.

The Floater was found and killed with a High Explosive. 3 minutes from the start, the mission finally ended.

Why are they all armed with conventional weaponry? Is the new equipment too expensive to produce?

No. It's quite cheap when compared to stuff like cost of aircraft and budget. It's just that I don't have any of it researched yet.

I managed to make openxcom take armour modifier as an armour divisor.
What are the implications of this?

Wasn't it already in the game, with certain aliens taking more damage from certain weapons? Or is it another parameter completely?

Taking more damage works in a different way. It multiplies the damage in general.

Armour divisor simply decreases armour. So, for example you can have a laser weapon doing the same damage as a normal rifle but ignoring half of armour.

It was caught over Saudi Arabia after it slowed down. It turned out to be a Terror Ship. It was damaged and forced to crash-land by Israeli interceptors.
