Still, it is just a banana I got from a local chimp and it is left at the exit of this Zoo. There you enter the rest of the world where it is normal that games like Hatred are not allowed.

I'm sorta butthurt that this is on Steam, not because I care much in general about the game itself, but because the flip-flop over removing it means Steam caved to the retards who were screaming that them not selling it was 'censorship'.

The idea that a store has the duty to sell every indie game or be guilty of censorship is pure SJW faggotry, and Valve gave in to it.

If it weren't for that, I wouldn't be really butthurt, since even if it's the shitty game I suspect it will be (heavily influenced by Postal, which was a shit game once you get past the edgy teen appeal), it's not like Steam isn't already full of garbage. I stand by my earlier post in this thread though.

Well according to the list, Huniepop and Sakura Spirit are banned too, and as they're sold on Steam I assume they don't even have porn in them. Even vaguely suggestive shitty animu is enough to warrant a ban.

That doesn't look half bad for a game made in a 12 month-development cycle. It looks pretty good actually.
I liked that the guy pointed out just going in gung-ho like Rambo gets yourself killed easily, so there's more to Hatred than just "shoot at it until it dies", which plagues most average isometric shooters. Not to mention how just unloading your left mouse button will also deny you executions, and therefore deny you extra health. Ammo doesn't seem that plentiful either.
I'm a little bit worried how the controls for vehicles will turn out in an isometric perspective, though.

One little nitpick I have is that the optional objectives have a big "SIDE QUEST" line hanging over them. It'd be more immersive if that wasn't there. Like, "cleanse the village" sounds way more ominous than "SIDE QUESTS: Cleanse the police station". Maybe the devs could've differed side quests from regular objectives by giving such side objectives a different color (unlikely if you consider the color palette of the game), or added some kind of symbol that signifies a side quest. The SIDE QUEST line thankfully fades away after a while. Even then I'd rename it SIDE MISSIONS.
I feel the same way about displaying the key you need to press in order to execute someone. As I said before, displaying a line saying "Q - EXECUTION", is less ominous than "EXECUTE". As if it is directly telling you to execute that poor sod. I haven't played the game, so I don't know if Q is the context-sensitive button here for things like picking up ammo or getting into cars, but since you're going to be seeing the execution prompt often, you probably don't need to know which button you need to press to execute someone. Maybe have it appear only in the first minutes of the game, and then change the line to just "EXECUTE", because by then you should already know which button to press to execute (unless you are playing on WUSS difficulty). I wouldn't exactly mind displaying the keys you need to press for actions you don't see often, but these are just some little gripes that scrape my immersion. One would call it too "video gamey", but atmosphere is key.

Think it looks impressive looking at that video. It's basically a top-down GTA. The outrage is ridicules. You can do exactly the same kind of stuff in GTA5 but that game is considered the pinnacle of gaming for many game-news outlet.

Watching that Hatred video gives me a few vibes from the Death Wish 3 game. Now THERE was a game that allowed wholesale slaughter of civilians - but it also lead to you having to deal with the cops.

I think Postal's main flaw was the general bullet-spoinginess of everyone, infinite ammo for machine gun, etc. From what Hatred trailer has shown, it looks like Hatred would have much more organic/dynamic-looking killing.
