Wonder how much worse it is compared to StarForce (ugh) or securom.

Sadly that screencap seems to came from a reddit thread, and AFAIK has so far not been verified.

As for Denuvo its by the same people behind Securom:

70% of Denuvo is owned by Reinhard Blaukovitsch, 30% by Robert Hernandez.
As a gamer, those two names sounds familiar.
Yeah, former CEO and former Head of Sales North America of... SecuROM.
And Blaukovitsch filed a patent, on behalf of Sony DADC, in June, 2014. Welcome back, your products have not been missed.

The DRM in question is developed by Denuvo and it managed to keep the PC version of Lords of the Fallen from being pirated until now, a week after its launch on October 28th. It is also responsible for protecting FIFA 15 which was released nearly a month and half ago and is still uncracked.

FIFA 15 might be a less attractive target for pirates as online features are part of its core, there is little doubt that an AAA single-player action RPG such Lords of the Fallen is a lucrative target.

Interestingly enough, Lords of the Fallen players are reporting plenty of in-game bugs in addition to instability and crashes that are largely attributed to the new DRM system. Developer CI Games is currently working on a patch that should thwart all those problems.

Well, in case of Shitlords of the Fallen case the best DRM they had was how banal, shit, boring the game was, I don't think Denuvo should get the whole credit.

So, removing the piece of shit DRM that breaks the game? Thanks guys, you're awesome~

Just accept that anyone interested in pirating will pirate one way or the other and stop investing time and resources on things that make your product worse for those who actually want to give you money, fucking hell

Take a GTA story as old as time: you walk down the street, you pull out a shotgun, and you shoot an innocent person to death in the street. Boring, right? Shocking a decade or so ago, but we’re all used to it by now. First person mode makes that entirely different. That person fills your entire field of view. He’s big enough so that you can see the expression his face. He was texting. Who was he texting? You’re not the puppeteer controlling an agent of violence anymore — it’s one step closer to being you. It seems like this is what the developer intended all along.
Although naturally you know the article is bad since he didn't like GTA5 to begin with. How someone could claim to like other GTA games and dislike 5 is a mystery.

Also first person hooking, TOO HOT 4 TV DO NOT WATCH (note: don't even get to see a nipple. dragon age 3 shows more. also every one of the videos shows the person playing knows how to play a gta game because you always gotta kill the hooker after. always)

Also haven't seen anyone complaining about the first person nudist survivalist cannibals yet 'cause they're all gray old dudes with balls hanging in the breeze. I imagine there'll be a video with some first person balls in your face action at some point though.

Haven't played it.

So yeah, for as much of a mixed bag as it was, people still quote "NIKOOOO MY COUSIN LETS GO BOWLING" and a few others.

But not sure there's a single quote people do from GTA V.This suggests to me that it was de rigeur and somewhat bland.

Am I wrong?

Western developers cannot into porn games.

I like how every single one of those videos looks like made by a teenager.

How about "I saw her on the end of this penis here"

GTA V might not have the biggest city map or the longest campaign but the writing is miles better than others in the series. Especially Trevor. Trevor is a fucking classic. Not enough games let you play as an actual psychopath these days.

From what I've seen so far dialogue style seems very similar to GTAIV trilogy. Mostly entertaining but often a bit too verbose.

True enough, but since a fair amount of it is done during driving sequences it's less annoying than getting a massive infodump on your chest in, say, a Bioware game where the only thing you're doing while the dialog's going on is staring at the lipsync.

Or a buttsync. Yes, dialogue while driving to a mission is cool, I remember in GTAIV they even gave you different driving dialogue if it was a repeat mission attempt, fairly considerate of them. My complaint about it being too verbose was mostly due to some cinematics taking a bit too much time just because characters don't know when to shut up already. Granted, the dialogues are usually solid and they manage to make good jokes, but it would've seemed less tryhard if they exercised more restraint.
In any case, I've been craving for a new GTA single player experience and it looks like I'll enjoy the shit out of this one. Saints Rows games were a good fun but they're ultimately more forgettable.
