Really?I always thought that the main issue was Source and Valve having some clause that its games can be only on Steam or something similar

When the Bloodlines licensing agreement was signed, Steam was a beta of a copy protection scheme somewhere inside Valve, and nothing more. So I doubt that such a clause exists.

Activision really doesn't seem to like to promote or discount this game on Steam. I wonder if they are still holding some kind of grudge after the clusterfuck that was Bloodline's production, and the fact that it was an instant classic yet had crappy sales. It's like Bethesda never discounting Arx Fatalis.

Not sure if you were referring to Redemption or Bloodlines on the topic of steam discounts, but I'm pretty sure Bloodlines goes on sale every Halloween on Steam.. Or at least, it did for several years.

You know that Arx Fatalis source code was released along with a free copy of the game included with Dishonored right?
It's not steams choice if that game goes on sale - it's Bethesda's.. and the game is basically free now that it's gone open source.

Bloodlines goes on sale everytime there is a big sale on Steam. I purchased it on sale for 4.99 kwan bucks. You can ask Legion about it.

I have a spare System Shock 2 key from the GoG sale earlier that I wanted to save for Thanksgiving to give away. If interested, please PM me with a reason you'd be thankful for the game. The PMs will apply for only Thanksgiving day, so make your message count.

I remember this. Bought full price on release. Played to completion, liked it. I was wondering why I never saw a new game by the same devs...

The winter sale will begin today and last till the 13 of december apparently :

http://af.gog.com/forum/general/upcoming_gog_sale/post1?as=1649904300

Seems also that a new dev/publisher is coming for this first day of sale, a little like the release of the X series during the last sale :

http://af.gog.com/forum/general/gam...e_in_the_future_part_2/post2366?as=1649904300

I'm willing to take a bet on take 2 (a daring one, but the hell :ehue: )

Edit : Getting closer :

Hey JudasIscariot, how does this sale work? Is it only the Bundle Deals at the top that change every 48 hours, or also everything else?

We're kicking off the sale with 48 hours of big bundles that you just couldn't stop bugging us for.

Following the 48-hour launch offer, all bundles and deals will change every 24 hours. With a few surprises in store, check back daily to see what's new in the GOG.com Big Winter Sale!

LoL @ mystery games. Who in their right mind would pay $3 for a random shovelware when you can buy a lot of stuff with proven quality for less.

EDIT: I will probably be grabbing LucasArts classics bundle at least.

Yeah, I thought mystery game was a randomly generated sale item that you click to reveal and then "maybe" buy. Actually buying an unknown game for $3 seems pretty dumb. I wonder how much are they banking on people not just requesting a refund on unwanted picks?

Still some nice things on sale: I'll probably pick up zal mckracken and the indiana jones games. Maybe Shadowrun HK and POE, though I dunno. I keep hearing that HK is a step down from dragonfall, which I'm currently playing and haven't been that enthused with. Doesn't help that I'm playing it after having played WL2: DC and AoD. PoE always sounded kind of lol to me with its RTWP combat with cooldowns.
