In before a predictable answer from JudasIscariot.
And while we're at jap games, how about getting the Touhou series on GOG?
My sources say:
TOM: To change the subject, have you thought at all about distributing the Touhou Project games on Steam?
ZUN: I have thought about it. Not having to actually ship packaging would decrease the cost quite a bit, but I would still have to do a lot to make it available on Steam. A fundamental problem is that I actually no longer have the original data from the early games, and it would be a challenge to create new versions. Also, most of all, if I started using Steam, I would finally have to shift my focus to international audiences. I’ve had a lot of inquiries from other countries lately.
It's not a problem because a lot of GOG games don't have source code either and use scene cracks.

I'm barely playing anything lately but I guess I'll throw GOG $7 for this Raven point-and-clicker. Heard it was good.

How can you lose the fucking source code?

I have no idea...

Also, that Parasite in City game... well, considering the slight uproar we had on our forums about Long Live the Queen, I don't think that game would fly. Seriously, WTF is up with that game!?!?!

I'd have to ask our unofficial Japanese games expert at GOG about those as far as Touhou is concerned :D

Long Live the Queen caused an uproar? Really?

I mean sure it's animu which is a pretty valid complaint I suppose, but there are plenty of games on GOG now that are neither remotely old nor good, so I don't see how it's much of a decline at this point.

Maybe "uproar" was the wrong word, some concern? I don't know.

Judge for yourself:

Keep in mind that due to us selling older games, we have a very specific audience make up where people who are parents are quite numerous on our site and so we have to try and balance between being family friendly but still being able to provide games with adult content (whatever your interpretation of "adult" actually is, I am not willing to get into this topic just because I am no expert on a lot of things :P).

Well I for one can't wait until the GOG release of the classic Custer's Revenge.

I enjoyed Long Live the Queen, but I found the campaign to be rather easy and short (only three scenarios).

- Oh my God, a game with anime artstyle that features a 14 year old girl as a protagonist.
- Oh my God, a Japaneses game with an underages girl as a protagonist.
- Oh my God, a hentai game, think of the children.
- Oh my God, GOG why are you selling pedophilia porn?

:killit:

On a side note, I see that Long Live the Queen is still getting updated with additional content. Very nice.

Yeah that's kind of stupid. You don't like it - don't play it. On the other hand I woud prefer to see more old PC games(especially those that don't run on modern computers) on GOG instead of animu degeneracy.

So I ended up grabbing Dragon Commander Imperial Edition with the 50% off weekend sale (and now I hope we don't get it with the DOS Codex kickstarter...)

As for the irish sale, decided fuck it. I wanted Hotline Miami, Deponia and Expenditions Conquistador, but couldn't give a shit about everything else, so I picked the 2 Luck of the Irishi pots... and it gave me Geneforge Complete and Avernum Complete. I'm almost certain both were on my Wishlist (and if that's how it picks them then thank you JudasIscariot).

All in all a pretty good haul for $35.

So Postal 1 & 2 = family friendly, boobs = satan. Nice to see that you've adopted the kwan soccer mom morality.

We desperately need a reliable and safe English-language site for porn and fetish games like LLtQ. If GoG is going to offer that, they could easily double or triple their profits.

Well, the screen shots led me astray. My point still stands though.

As a Mod of this forum I demand that you - for acting like one of those GOG clowns - absolve yourself by committing seppuku. Deuce Traveler will be your kaishakunin.

We're not the only ones operate this way :) See if you can find some of your favorite tentacle porn on any of the mainstream distributors :)

(Don't get me wrong: I am sure there are awesome porn or fetish games and they deserve to be looked at in objective manner besides "OMG! Porn!" but you know that's never going to happen with some subjects. )

Lol. "I took a glance at the screenshots and here's my opinion on the game". We should invite that guy here.
You know the old saying: a picture is worth a thousand words. Of course, sometimes, the most apt comment has zero words: "..."
