But the best example of a game to play with your girlfriend is Bubble Bobble. It's a game that was made from the beginning to promote co-operation.

Also, Pokemon. I don't like to generalise (lying), but a lot of women seem to have their tastes formed to a great extent by stuff they liked as kids. Now that they're out of high school and away from some of the more mundane social pressures, half the girls I know are eagerly picking up any new Pokemon that comes their way. The new ones have a pretty cool local multiplayer function where you can jump into other players' game worlds and interact with them, which is nice. Also, it's a good excuse to play it without admitting that it's pretty good and thus ruining your hardcore KKKodex Kred.

Also New Super Mario Bros Wii.

Also, you could try them on Blood Bowl, might be surprised. Have fun working it out together and don't let on that you know what a d6 is.
