Emperor Wars Version 2.0 Launched!!!!

Alright, it is finally done now I can take a break before I burn out.

More units, more depth, more, more, more!!!!!

Have fun!

Emperor of the Fading Suns - Emperor Wars Version 2.0
https://sites.google.com/site/emper...ing-suns-emperor-wars---reality-mod---downlao
a few bugs i see. Two of the house have farm holding on leagueheim that dont make a any food. Dreadnought price is 100, cruiser are 400 and destroyer are 300. Maybe dreadnight should be 500? Should be a Ur-Ukar rebellion on a all Ur-ukar colony worlds, mostly Aylon. Malignatius should be a Li Halan.

http://fadingsuns.wikia.com/wiki/Al-Malik
(Maybe have Al-Malik have more league traders, labs, and psk units.)
House al-Malik has a powerful technological base and significant trade infrastructure, which gives its lords wealth out of proportion to their political and military status. The house’s historical relations with the League help it maintain its wealth, and give it significant bargaining power with other houses and information about their doings. Its predisposition to psychic talent is useful politically.

The Mutasih (spy units?)
Originally the market police on Istakhr when the Raschid line was centered in Samarkand, the Mutasih has expanded to become one of the most powerful, far-reaching, and expert intelligence agencies in the Known Worlds. Mutasih field agents spin webs of intrigue with an almost artistic panache, Mutasih intelligence analysts study the data they are given with all of the scholarship of the house, and Mutasih technicians are second to none in the fields of surveillance and cryptography. If the Mutasih has a weak spot, it is lack of discipline. Agents are not fragile by any means, but they are more likely to crack under pressure than those of their two rivals, the Jakovian Agency and the Imperial Eye.

The Crystal Lantern Dancers (Ranger Legion or CyberWarrior Legion unit?)
The Caliph’s household service of swashbuckling champions. The Crystal Lantern Dancers are all skilled spies, scouts, and warriors, and they are known for their trademark blur suits and their penchant for striking from the shadows. They are seen in some ways as the hands of fate, striking down the powerful, occasionally ennobling the weak, and vanishing as quickly as they appeared. They serve the Caliph in an organized fashion, but they each have a fair amount of leeway to use their judgement in most situations, which adds to their reputation for caprice.

The Circle of the Shattered Sword (Eskatonics units?)
This is the Caliph’s royal think tank, made up of the most sage thinkers throughout al-Malik space. It is a knightly order (knowledge is a noble virtue on al-Malik conceptions), but many of its members are knighted specifically to be inducted into the order. Reeves, Engineers, and Eskatonics make up the bulk of those knighted for the purpose, though there are quite a few Orthodox scholars in it as well. The Circle has an entire estate on Istakhr devoted to its use, though some members of it travel abroad.

http://fadingsuns.wikia.com/wiki/Hawkwood
(some Ur-obun rebels)
Within House Hawkwood, Delphi has always been the seat of Mountbatten power, and though the Darians have often held Olympia and much of its continent of Somerset, they were never as firmly entrenched in the planet as the Mountbattens, who hold four of the planet’s impressive seven dukedoms, counting the moon Diana, which is an important military and naval base. In addition to a substantial Darian and Avery presence (each family holds one dukedom here), the planet also hosts a dukedom which is the patriarchal seat of the Plantagenet line, though the Wessexes have enough counties on the planet that they actually have more influence than the Plantagenets. There are also a number of Gaunt, Adams, and Hapsburg counties on the planet, and a surprisingly small number of Fenris or Wilde counties. The continent of Courai, split between the Justinians, Juandaastas, and Eskatonic Church, has now been almost entirely captured by Ur-Obun rebels.

(holdings for Hazat and Al-Malik)
About 19% of the planet is held by non-Hawkwoods. There is a significant presence of Hazat lords on the planet (7% of the planet), mainly on the rugged continents of March and Shyra. The Hazat on Delphi have a long history of intermarriage with the Hawkwoods. House al-Malik owns several urban regions as well (3% of the planet).

(Electronic city, maybe less farm holdings)
Delphi’s industry is based on its technological base, which allows it to export high technology electronics and components, as well as all manner of items of high quality artifice. It is just barely agriculturally self-sufficient due to high-technology irrigation and sometimes can even export food

Only about 68% of Gwynneth is controlled by House Hawkwood. There is a significant Hazat presence in the mountains of Hod (14% of the planet, led by the Duke Ramon Carlos Justus), and there are a number of al-Malik enclaves as well (7%, largely Hallaschid, with some Clinius). House Fianna makes its home here, along with several of the Bannockburn Gaelgran houses (together 5% of the planet, almost all of which is House Fianna), and a number of Trusnikrons are to be found in the wilder areas of the planet (3%). The arctic regions actually host several Decados fiefdoms (3%, mostly Valushnya and Bogakov). Gwynneth has a rather large Ur-Ukar population, much of which lives in the caves and tunnels that riddle the planet.

Leminkainen
45% of the planet, however, is out of the hands of House Hawkwood. House Trusnikron’s king lives here (8%), and there are a number of Fianna (5%), Tlannic (3%) and Kilgore (3%) lords on the planet as well. The Vuldrok of Valdalla are firm in their territories (17%). Other Gaelgran houses from Bannockburn each have their own presences on the planet (totaling 4%), though their power is kept firmly in check by the fierce Fenrises. The Empire holds several strategic bases (2%), and several Li Halan hold land on the planet as well in an attempt to keep it safe for civilization (2%), though they spend most of their time feuding with the “degenerate” Hawkwoods on the planet and rooting out heresy in their own lands.

http://fadingsuns.wikia.com/wiki/House_Decados

The Royal Kossack Legion (Marauder Legion unit, or Gene Warrior Legion, or maybe a Chithian cav unit)

This group is one of the oldest institutions of House Decados, founded by Antonin Tchaikof Decados the First. A unit of elite planetary assault troops, the Royal Kossack Legion would descend from the skies on their jump packs and put whole cities to the torch. They have remained a regiment of renown in the house throughout the years, but in the years after the Fall, it became too expensive to keep them all equipped with the rare air maneuver rigs. So selective genetic alteration of native Severan fauna produced Chithians and Chilothny, which were so effective that they prompted House Gesar to develop the destrier to counter them. Now the Royal Kossack legion is made up of elite boyars wearing fearsome and ornate powered armor, mounted on huge insects capable of charging at great speeds and striking down men in light armor with powerful poisonous claws. These insects have made such a great impression on the minds of the Known Worlders that few remember their earlier days. Now the Royal Kossack Legion is more of a dispersed knightly order such as the Musketeers of 17th-century France, though it is called out en masse when the Crown declares war. Further, many within the house ride Chithians or Chilothny, and they are called kossacks in the same way that psychic warriors are called dervishes.

Thanks, Hyme I can easily fix most of these in a 2.1 Version update, this is the type of feedback I need to add more depth to the game. The only challenge I will have is artwork for some of the new units, but Disk Failure has someone that might be able to do some original artwork or if you have something in mind send it to me via email.

Thanks for catching the bugs I will do another release shortly.

http://fadingsuns.wikia.com/wiki/Li_Halan
(maybe starts out with serf units)
The strengths of House Li Halan mostly stem from its highly faithful populace, who are accustomed to living in a rigid caste system, often in conditions of extreme personal poverty, but with a broader and more thorough centralised social security system than most other serfs can rely on. Not only does this allow the Li Halan fiefs to support a surprisingly large population, but it cuts down on internal strife.

The Legion of St. Ongor( Vorox knight unit?)

St. Ongor was the patron saint of the Vorox, and his legion is the official royal Vorox guard. It is made up of many incredibly skilled Vorox in lacquered Voroxian plate who perform ceremonial functions for the royal person and carry out military actions in the name of the crown.

The White Hand of Hombor(ninja-spy unit)
This insitution actually dates back to the White Hand, which was the appellation given to the King’s personal ninja clan of choice dating back to the days shortly after Lextius. They were utterly dreaded assassins in the dark times of the house, and they were so ensconsed in House culture that they survived Cardano’s reforms, becoming the White Hand of Hombor, a society of the humble, who did the will of the King in a holy fashion through the shadows. Composed entirely of non-nobles, the White Hand is full of incredible thieves and spies who specialize in martial arts. A number of them are powerful theurges.

I will post a small fix update today for the Dreadnaught cost and Leaguehiem estates.

I will then do inventory of which of the new unique units I would do the only ones I probably can't are the spies, the coding only allow me to do 5 units for each icon. I origininally wanted all of the houses unique spy units but it just isn't going to happen with the games limitations.

The planet map changes will probably come in a much later update when I have time to sort out the location of all of cities and who need to own them.

Again, Thanks Hyme

No it has a fixed maximum, they can only be added if you delete existing ones, I had wanted to add Hira (Kurgan) an Wolf's Lament (Vuldrok) but I cancelled the idea because it took away from the original feel it I deleted any of the planets.

Can planets be added to the game?

Hyme,

Something else to look for are unique "Warships" I added the Scraver Flagship Potemkin over Leaguehiem is a carrier with the power of a Dreadnaught, but I haven't added the Decados twin Dreadnaughts yet one is called "Alexis" I have plenty of slots for new ships if you come across any in your reading, or and I thought about adding Void Krakens but I don't know where to put them on the map.

Hyme,

I have added the serf to the Li Halan Planets and the Legion of St. Ongor you can now build in the palace, since they are a type of knight they bring 125 income, 2 turns to build, and require Alien Psychology and Liturgical Ritual. I tried the place some in the Kish Palace but the for some reason the map editor won't let me.

Damn, I'm tempted to fill the shoes of the fallen Lord Flavius and seek retribution for all injustices heathens caused to this noble servant of the Pancreator, but given my current circumstances it's probably better if I sit this one out.
Still, if nobody comes forward, I'd be willing to step in, but I can't promise to keep up with the 1turn/day tempo all the time. I'll do my best, but the Pancreator moves in mysterious ways...

Disk Failure, you would be awesome in the game we don't necessarily have to have the turn a day requirement just someone that will be in for the long haul, so give it a thought.

Royal Journal of the Most Glorious Prince Hyram Decados - 4959 A.D.

The Al-Malik think they can attack the Decados without repercussions, little do they know that the Jakovian Agency has been funneling weapons to the Ukaris Rebels on Aylon and Ishktar for months. Even now as they divert manpower to Malignatius the fuse has been lit and our Ukari allies will slaughter Al-Malik swine in their sleep.

HUSKS!!!!

Finally, found the the image I was looking for in Fading Suns - Into the Dark. Husks will be scattered throughout planets where I can find them referenced in the novels and you will be able to create them in Labs when you research Necrosis. Only wish I could make a plague bomb that could turn enemy units into Husks.

I believe the Ukari Rebels were also on other of there colony worlds as well, but in smaller numbers. Also for starships I remember reading about some Al-Malik missle boat ships that fought agaist Symbiot.

http://www.deviantart.com/traditional/drawings/technical/?q=Fading+Suns&offset=25
I don't know if this is lore or not.

Tulwar_class_heavy_cruiser_by_Misieq79.png

It is said that House Al-Malik's ship designers always did their best to squish as many torpedo tubes as possible in every warship. This was an expensive way of waging war, indeed, however the house was uder a constant threat of Symbiot raids. The torpedoes were one of the few devices the Symbiot were unable to copy, as the enormous acceleration would squish any living cell. This would give the Al-Malik torpedo-armed ships an upper hand.

The Tulwar class heavy cruiser was designed with defence of House's systems in mind. That's why no ship of the class was jump-capable. This was quite rare, since the system defence ships were mostly older ones, which had their jump drives lost or transferred to more modern vessels.

Thus, the Tulwar was unable to jump on her own. To move between systems, a special "gate tug" ship was utilized.
Otherwise, the design was similar to other cruisers of the era, of course done "the Al-Malik way"

The Tulwar class was 255 metres long. Her artillery was a bit inferior compared to other Houses' cruisers, but Al-Malik admirals always considered guns as a finish-off weapon, and relied on torpedoes. Still, the ship had twelve heavy plasma guns and fourteen medium grasers broadside, three heavy bow lasers and four heavy plasmas in individual turrets, of which all could be directed ahead and three abeam, increasing number of heavies firing abeam to nine. These were supposed to be only an addition to sixteen reloadable torpedo tubes buried in the hull.

Seven of these ships were bulit between 4919 and 4962 by Istakhr shipyards. Four remained in the system, while one was transferred to Shaprut and two reinforced the Stigmata fleet.

The Shamshir, stationed on Shaprut during the Emperor Wars, fought as she was planned to - engaging Symbiot raiders at long distance. She also was hit more than once, with boarding pods and rusting spores. The ship was never taken over by the Symbiuot, however wear&tear led to her scrapping in 4998.

The Scimitar and Banadik, which served in Stigmata system, had the most illustrious career of the class. After defection of Camertha Decados's Stigmata Garrison, these two spent over a year in constant fight against the Symbiot, engaging both their starships and ground forces - and proving more than once that a Tulwar is a tough nut to crack, even without torpedoes (yep, they expended their magazines in a month or so). Some incredible luck shone over the two cruisers, as they were hit by boarding pods several times, but the crews would always repel the Symbiots and cleanse the infested sectors. And, Scimitar and Banadik were the ones to meet Alexius's fleet when it arrived in 4991. The future Emperor expected a fierce fight after leaving the jumpgate, but all he saw were two cruisers flying Al-Malik colors and reporting 'jumpgate region secured'.
Awed by their history and combat record, Alexius woved to free every serf from the crew, and raise every yeoman to nobility - and he did so eventually. Both cruisers, after extensive repairs, still form a part of Stigmata fleet.

The other four ships never left the Istakhr system - and two of them survived the Emperor Wars. These would clash more often with Decados raiders and battlegroups than the Symbiot - but still. The lead ship, Tulwar, was caught with her torpedo magazines empty, boarded and lost to the Symbiot in 4989. The captains of Harb and Nabut then turned their guns against the doomed sistership and put her into oblivion. The Nabut was lost in a clash with a Decados strike force, herself heavily damaging the Varyag heavy cruiser, which was scuttled afterwards.

Currently, Harb and Chora are a part of Istakhr's system fleet.

It sounds like most starships are not able to jump by themself, but have heavier weapons.
