Is Shadow of the Colossus emulatable ? Last I tried it would glitch out like fuck all the time

You need a ~4GHZ CPU to run it properly. The game looks pretty great at a proper resolution.

Pretty much every popular PS2 game works. Even the Snowblind games work now, but only in software mode.

http://wiki.pcsx2.net/index.php/Shadow_of_the_Colossus is a good place to check games.

To achieve 60 frames-per-second, your CPU must meet all of the following requirements and have the necessary speedhacks enabled.

  • The CPU must be an Intel-brand; not AMD
  • Due to architectural improvements, the CPU should utilize the latest Micro-architecture in the series
  • The Clock speed must be over 4.0 GHz (The only Intel CPU with a base clock this high is the i7-4790K. Most other CPUs will need an overclock).
  • VU Cycle Stealing should be set to level 1 or 2

Some work better than others, iirc MGS3 is playable on PCSX2, but the lack of support for pressure-sensitive button presses makes CQC nearly impossible to do in the game, which makes at least 2 bosses much harder to beat.

Finally Finished the Prime Trilogy

Primary Differences: streamlined maps (less backtracking), new weapon mechanic trivializes most of the combat encounters, bosses are a huge step down from Echoes, music is better, the worlds are more colorful than echoes and the map design is still top notch.

I'm glad that while the game is more straightforward, it still gives you the freedom to explore whatever route you see fit. A good finale to a great series. Well done Retro games (and thanks for also delivering a kickass Donkey Kong game)
