A bit late to make new thread since it was released last December... Either way it is huge news.
http://www.homeworld2complex.com/index1.htm
There are two versions Complex 9 for Homeworld 2 (classik) and Complex 12 (12 being latest best version) for HM2 Remastered.
Biggest different between two is performance. Complex is really big mod that changes a lot, from absolutely big maps to improved models, new subsystems, ships, fx, to just share amount of unit cap that can be really really really big. Complex 9 really struggles even with best hardware out there due to old engine while 12 on remastered engine flies !.
Complex as name suggest makes vanila game more complex. It takes RTS light and makes it into very strategical and tactical RTS where everything matters much more so than HM1 ever was. It introduces ton of changes like ability to equip your capital ships according to needs, new capital-medium-smallships, your ship cap limit grows with EXP you gather from doing stuff (like fighting, mining etc), new research options.
Generally speaking as fan of HM1 and HM2 and generally tactical rts genre i spend 100s of hours playing complex 8 and it was one of the best games i have ever played.
You really need to check it out if you are fan of HM games or you just want really deep tactical rts game.
