Holy crap this is hilarious.

I spent today eating cookies and worrying about a job application I sent in last week. I also played 2 hours of Bioshock Infinite.

One day, idiot libruls will learn the difference between actual homophobes (most Codexians aren't, in my experience) and people who simply don't wish for their favorite computer games to be used as delivery systems for in-your-face "raising awareness" propaganda. I don't want overt heterosexual romance in Torment, either. Generally speaking, I shouldn't even know what the characters' sexual orientations are, nor care to know.

Folsom Street Fair? No problem. I'd attend, though not as a "participant". Gay men or women kissing? Don't care. Gay marriage? Of course. Equal rights? Absolutely. Prosecution for homophobic hate crimes? Sure. I know it's cliche and a bit of a cop-out to say so, but I have numerous gay friends, and have always simply treated them like people... not to mention my bisexual sister.

Just kidding—libruls won't learn. Anyone who doesn't want exaggerated gay sex rubbed right in their faces to prove how HOLY SHIT TOLERANT we all are must be a homophobe.

We don't need people calling themselves 'gay' or 'bisexual' or even 'straight'. This isn't about identity politics either.

It's just that presumably you'll have characters in relationships or expressing desire for relationships....

FOR EXAMPLE... Maybe that male shaman has a male partner living with him instead of a female partner. Maybe that female prostitute takes only female customers - or, hell, maybe that male prostitute takes both male AND female customers. Maybe an Annah-equivalent will only kiss you if you're a woman (the option not even appearing for a male character).

I thought the idea of prostituting yourself was that you don't want to starve.

Amen. Devs pandering to retards on their forum is almost as bad as them pandering to the suits in marketing. I backed the kickstarter because I have faith in the abilities of those devs to make great rpg's. I have almost zero faith in a bunch of forum posters to do so however. Design by committee is shit, let the devs do their thing.

All this said it wasn't all Bioware's fault, they fell into slippery slope by pandering to vocal fans (once a minority, pehaps not now though) in the hope of increased sales and greater customer loyalty, to a degree they just gave those people what they wanted (the furries, the bronies, other assorted oddballs, the LGBTs that cross over into those areas, the forever alone types and the pimple faced 13 year olds that want softcore interactive porn along with "i've come to clean your pool" levels of characterisation).
