True dat. Just that an employer can make that decision, and "free speech" does not protect employees from saying things that embarrass their companies and being subsequently fired. I can't hold it against employers if they perform any check they think will get them a better employee. More importantly it's a sign of a bad job market overall when they can afford to be so picky.

And it could go back to firing people for Communist views at any time, if it feels like it.
