Yeah, when I saw this in the original thread I came to the conclusion that they are being either willfully blind or extremely intellectually dishonest, just looking for another reason to be offended by PA, because the concept of safe space is so fucking ubiquitous in on line social justice cirle(jerk)s that I refuse for one second believe that those people have no idea what it is.

That's the theory I have: those guys are not actual SJWs, they just want to show how TOLERANT they are, acting as "offended" as possible. Which is why they immediately assume that having "minority booths" means the transgenderqueerfluidotherkin folk will only be allowed to stay there, surrounded by armed enforcers to protect them from a Wasteland-level of hostility in the rest of the convention (much like people interested in indie game development will be confined to indie booths, you see).

You've really read nothing, this place is really extremely disturbing, the off topic is where they reveal their true colors. I sometimes look at it because it has a lot of diverse nerdy interest news in a single place, but it makes even Something Awful look tame. It's gotten progressively more and more extreme over the years.

Threads I remember having seen include "I have gotten AIDS, what do I do?" (numerous times) "My gay hook up broke his condom and came in my posterior, but I trust he's clean" or "You are a bigot if you refuse to date a transgendered woman, her vagina feels just the same" or "I am boasting about being a gay porn star". There was also a guy like 10+ years ago who was boasting about taking a young boy's virginity and commenting how he was "bigger than him".

The difference is that when people on college campuses create safe spaces, it's because the college itself is not a safe space.
