havn´t found it in this forum database, so:

Just wanted to tell you about this stategy game i found on an open source cd i downloaded. (OPEN CD??)

Its called Battle for Wesnoth http://www.wesnoth.org/ and i would say its an opensource clone of early warlords / age of wonders.

Iam just into the second mission but so far the gameplay is astoudingly fresh and simple.

fun.

(beware! it has some anime style characters, but the overall style is more epic fantasy)

It's not bad. At least it's the right price.

It has its own built in campaign downloader, handy. So far the game has been challanging and has had a decent amount of variety in level design. The plot isn't too shabby either. I've paid for a a lot worse.

If anyone hasn't tried this, they really should. It deserves some attention.
