This is my first Let's Play.
Truth be told, I neither have the time nor the inclination to type the dialogues of the game and then come up with some funny larping stuff so I just took the lazy way, installed OBS and got everything on video.
Negatives:
- not as funny or entertaining as a traditional LP
- videos contain just the game, no audio commentary by me
Positives:
- all fights on hardmode are covered so if you think the game is teh hard you might learn how to do it and/or how to build an efficient party
- this project is basically half LP, half guide and half review, yes that means I will give tips and also inflict
my valuable opinion about aspects of the game on you
- I think there was a Blackguards LP here on the Codex already but it was abandoned, this one won't (I already have the entire game recorded so it's just a matter of me uploading all that stuff)
There was a guide on steam done by our felipepepe.

Fairly at the top of that guide is the following listing:
Attack Value (AV) = (Courage + Agility + Strength)/5
Parry Value (PV) = (Intuition + Agility + Strength)/5
Dodge Value (DV) = (Inutition + Agility + Strength)/5
Ranged Combat Value (RC) = (Intuition + Dexterity + Strength)/5
Attack (for melee dudes), Dodge and Parry (for everybody) and Ranged Attack (for archers) are kind of a big deal.
The one stat that's used EVERYWHERE is Strength. Something to keep in mind when building a good character.
Given the party members you'll get, playing an archer is a reasonable decision. I pondered whether to make a custom archer, start out with 14 in dexterity/strength and intuition, unlock Hawkeye and Acceleratus (Move as Lightning) right there at char creation and call it a day.
But that would be too easy, right?
So instead I went with the default mage and then used her as an archer.
Starting with intuition 13 (pretty good) , dexterity 11 (pretty bad) and strength 10 (shit) is of course far from optimal and even worse is the fact that you can't learn Acceleratus and Hawkeye before chapter 3 but the approach is not entirely without merit.
The one advantage you'll have is that you start out with Steady Casting despite not actually meeting the prerequisites and therefore fizzling a spell will be a very rare occurrence.
Without further ado,
Part 1
Immensely complicated character creation and the beginning of the game. Fasten your seat belts, men, and get ready for the
adventures of Murderhoborella and her party of misfits.
