we never paid double for our expansions, even back in 2001. Throne of bhaal was around 29.99 at launch, and about 34.99 in Canada.

the value as it stands though for canadian money, is around 0.92 of a us dollar. It's safe to assume, looking at standard retail chains like eb games, that Awakening would be priced at MOST 45.99.

It's still a bit high for an expansion pack, being that throne of bhaal was still around 10-15 dollars cheaper.

Considering the release date of the expansion, it's very likely that they already had all of the content finished on it before Dragon Age was even on store shelves. I imagine it's what one team at Bioware spent their time working on while the another ported the game over to consoles.
