In a shocking and unexpected update to <a href="http://www.grimoiresystems.com/">the Grimoire homepage</a> we are now informed that indie game and over-long in development - much like Duke Nukem Forever and possibly also like Duke Nukem Forever being a game which doesn't exist in any real tangible state - Grimoire, whose appearance was only a few days ago promised as "Coming July 2009", has now been knocked back until "Fall 2009".

<br>
When asked for comment on this turn of events, Cleveland Mark Blakemore <a href="http://www.rpgcodex.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=29134">had this to say</a>:
<br>
<blockquote><a href="http://www.rpgcodex.net/screenshot.php?file=warriorsofdiversity/screenshot493.jpg"><img src="http://www.rpgcodex.net/images/screenshots/warriorsofdiversity/screenshot493tb.jpg" border="0"></a></blockquote>
<br>
We will bring you more news as it happens on this highly anticipated title.

It most assuredly does exist. There's at least one beta floating around the web.

I think Cleve himself is pretty tired of Grimoir by now and wants more than anyone to release it.

Come on cleve, the finish line must be in sight by now. Just put your all into it and finish the game!

The style of play is very similar to that of CRPG'S during the golden age of computer Roleplaying before 1992 like Eye of the Beholder, Bane of the Cosmic Forge, Crusaders of the Dark Savant, Might & Magic, The Bard's Tale and other classic games.

what. More like age of sadomasochism.

BTW, what is the Grimoire beta like? Standard dungeon crawling?

Very enjoyable dungeon crawling. I'd pay the lunatic 10$ for the game, too bad it will never see the light of day.

I thought you were kidding. Those are the actual requirements. How long ago was this game first announced, for real?

I think I still have my Voodoo 1 board somewhere. Maybe there will be a 3D accelerated version coming!

30 megs was a standard install size for a large game back in those days, but the rest of the requirements are years behind 1997.

Those specs bring a nostalgic tear to my eye.
