Let's just jump into the action this time!



Well, it looks like I ended up in Cloud Ruler Temple.



You did it. You defeated him. Then you have it ... you have the Amulet of Kings?

So you and Jauffre have said. If it is true, then the Emperor really was my father, then I should be able to wear it.

Only those of the Septim blood can wear the Amulet of Kings.



As usual, I will pick the second option.

I didn't really need the Amulet to tell me that. I've known it was true since you first told me back in Kvatch.

But it is one thing to talk of becoming Emperor, and quite another to actually be the Emperor.

Not yet. Until we light the Dragonfires, the Gates are open, and Mehrunes Dagon's invasion continues.

While you were gone, I sent a messenger to Chancellor Ocato. He waits for us in the Imperial City.

Chancellor Ocato is the head of the Elder Council. The Council rules in the Emperor's absence.

I don't expect any objections from the Elder Council, but we should defer to their authority.

Let's go to the Imperial City at once, before the enemy can recover from Mankar Camoran's death.



Now, let's fast travel to the Imperial City.



Where the fuck have these people been?

Anyway, we reach the Imperial Palace and speak to Chancellor Ocato.



Well it looks like everything is going to turn out okay.

Alright, looks like we are heading to the Temple District.





On the way, we are ambushed by a bunch of Daedra.



We finally arrive at the Temple District.





It looks like we are too late! Mehrunes Dagon is already here! All hope is lost! I wonder if Martin can pull a deus-ex-machina out of his ass?



Lighting the Dragonfires will no longer save us ... the barriers that protected us from Oblivion are gone.

Can we cast him back into Oblivion?

I don't see how ... mortal weapons may hurt him, but now that he is physically here in Tamriel, they have no power to actually destroy him.

What about the Amulet of Kings?

Wait. Yes. The Amulet was given to mortals by Akatosh ... it contains His divine power ...

But how to use this power against Dagon? The Amulet was not intended as a weapon ...

I have an idea. One last hope. I must reach the Dragonfires in the Temple of the One.

But you said dat wouldn't help!

You'll just have to trust me. I now know what I was born to do. But I'll need your help. I have to get past Mehrunes Dagon, somehow.

Then I'll do the rest.

Basically, all I do is just run past him and into the Temple.

I do what I must do. I cannot stay to rebuild Tamriel. That task falls to others.

With the dragon's blood and the Amulet of Kings, we have sealed the gates of Oblivion ... forever.



The last of the Septims passes now into history.

The Third Age has ended, and a new age dawns.

The shape of the future, the fate of the empire, these things now belong to you.

We saw the Temple dome explode, the avatar of Akatosh appear ... that was Martin?

You're catchin' on quick!

Then Martin is gone ...

But the gates are sealed.

Yes. Sealed forever. Mehrunes Dagon and his ilk can never threaten Tamriel again.

Martin is dead. But he died an emperor, and a hero to rival Tiber Septim.

So what 'bout de Empire?

This victory is not without cost. We've lost Martin Septim. What an emperor he might have made.

I thought you jest said he WAS an emperor!

His sacrifice was necessary, but it leaves the Empire without an emperor.

I don't know what happens now. There are troubled times ahead for the Empire.

But now is not the time to worry about the future. Let's just give thanks that we're alive.



In my capacity as Lord High Chancellor of the Elder Council, I hereby proclaim you Champion of Cyrodiil!

And, as a small token of gratitude for your service to the Empire, I have ordered a suit of Imperial Dragon armor made for you.

Tell me more about the Imperial Dragon Armor.

Imperial Dragon armor is normally worn only by the Emperor himself. But you deserve no less, Champion.

Alright, it looks like I finally got a reward! So where is it?

It wil be ready in two weeks. Here is some information about it.

Imperial Dragon Armor is given to the player after completing the final mission in the main quest. As light armor, it provides less protection than mithril, elven, and glass armor. As heavy armor it provides less protection than orcish, ebony, and daedric armor. However, it is unique because it is enchanted. You aren't rewarded with it immediately, however. It is special-ordered and is ready at the Armory in the Imperial City Prison District in Imperial City within two game weeks. The type of armor you receive depends on which of the two armor (Light and Heavy) skills is higher than the other, respectively. If your Heavy Armor and Light Armor skills are at the same level, you will get the Heavy Armor version. Its appearance is similar to that of Legion Armor but with different coloration and patterns.

The enchantments are the same for both light and heavy armor. All enchantments are Constant Effect.
Helmet: Resist Shock 20% on Self
Cuirass: Resist Magic 11% on Self
Gauntlets: Resist Poison 11% on Self
Greaves: Resist Fire 20% on Self
Boots: Resist Frost 20% on Self

For some twisted self-mutilating reason I too played through and beat this, hoping that at some point, the amazing and perfect RPG of the year that nobody had anything bad to say about would show itself to me. Never happened, obviously.

What an utter piece of shit this game is.

Good LP, but I could have used it prior to buying Oblivion all those years ago. I have to re-play Morrowind just to get the foul taste out of my mouth.

Indeed. That's one way to completely fuck up an ending

FYI, I have resized the pictures in the first four chapters to a more reasonable 800x600. A while back, I added some more action to the first few updates, since people complained about the lack of combat. If you want, check them out.

Well, specifically, people complained about the lack of combat coverage in my LP.

So if the Amulet of Kings becomes absolutely useless once Dagon enters Tamriel, why didn't he just do so as soon as the Mythic Dawn took the amulet?

Oblivion is widely considered to be lore raep by TES lore enthusiasts.
