I went by the names of Mortyr, Ocean Blue and Wee Jas. All banned. Maybe you remember me?

I was anti-Bethesda and expressed my opinions quite frequently, like you did. One day I just logged in only to find out that two accounts were deleted. I made another one(Ocean Blue) but was banned yet again after 400 posts. I was never given a warning nor a reason.

I still lurk the ESF off topic forums. God, I loved that community. And I wonder just when Rosenphelia Godot will be banned.

Who else have been banned due to shady cirmcumstances?

I remember you Wee Jas!

I've been banned from there under extremely shady circumstances; basically I went on there to advertise my mod, and the next thing you know, instant ban. I guess they didn't like my mod.

Been creating new accounts over the years whenever I feel like saying something, but they usually get banned on sight.

Yes, but we all know about YOUR mod. Leading the community on with a complete hoax for several years is, although admittedly hilarious, not really "on".

Lol, serves em right anyways.

There are plenty of mods discussed that never see release; so why single mine out and ban me? I never broke any actual rule, and yet now I can't even set foot in that place and expect to see my post and account there in an hour, all because my mod was never released.

Maybe they should alter the TOS appropriately... "Don't say you're going to do something and then put it off, otherwise prepare to be instantly banned"...

Where was I when this happened? Anyway, even if this 'mod' of yours was a hoax, that's no reason to ban you...

Summer 2004 - Spring 2005.

That happened a few days ago, RPG codex is not to be discussed on the ESforums, it might make Todd sad.

And I guess I missed it, I wasn't currently posting/reading the forums during that Summer.

But you NEVER INTENDED to release yours, did you?
Though, I must admit I can't see what rules you broke...

You know, I just checked on Yahoo and it said that the domain name "ILoveOblivion.com" is available, and could be purchased for $2 /year. I don't know much about building websites, but I suspect that someone could pretty easily put together a nice little goatse/tubgirl/meatspin trifecta for the mods over at ESF to link their patrons to.

Someone get busy.

I think if it mirrored the Codex, it would be better and far simpler.

I personally recommend a shock site. In a LastMeasure-stylee.

But the I love Oblivion.com links at ESF have spaces in them. Meaning the URLs are invalid. While having the links point to goatse would no doubt be amusing, this isn't going to work unless someone manages to convince the ESF mods to change the filter phrase.

But why doesnt ESF allow any links to Rpgcodex? This isnt porn nor anything immoral or illegal.

Maybe this should be announced or something. Given away as news at other websites. Would be interesting to see the results.

It depends. Typing "elder scrolls.com" in the address bar takes you to the ES site correctly, but "rpg codex.com" takes you to... um... this.

I'd love to see that particular rule put into the TOS. Insta-ban for Todd, Pete, and all the other devs for failing to deliver what they said they would

Curious. i love oblivion.com, with lover case, points to some random Oblivion video on You Tube, but with proper capitalisation the URL is invalid. Anyway, is the random related site thing some feature of Firefox where it picks a site from Google search directory if it can't make sense of the URL, or something?

Edit: Seems like it. In both cases the site it points to is the first result when you Google the URL.

Somebody here must have the technical abilities to cobble something together.

For $2, I'll buy the domain name myself and give it my best shot in my meager free time if no one else steps up to the plate, but I'd prefer that someone with some idea of what they're doing gives it a try.

*Edit: Actually, I'm starting to have moral qualms about even suggesting the enterprise. While it would be funny to have the oppressive ESF mods directing people to shock porn, many (if not most) of the regulars over there are kids, who shouldn't be exposed to that kind of filth.

Gah. *Shakes fist* They discovered that I was GrumpyOldWhiskeyjack. Hrmph.

They probably just tracked your IP. Give it a rest for a few weeks, come back later, they might IP ban you if you keep coming back and getting caught. (like they did Qarl)

The forums have been going down the shitter for a while, not just the bannings, but the mods being mindless robots of the admins. It's retarted.

My favorite example is, the Loranna's Lore RP, which Ted Peterson (DF Lead Designer played in), and has been the root of a lot of lore (Welwas from the PGE had their first appearance in the RP), was moved to TES General Discussion, the fucking cesspool where all the 'NEREVARRIEAINES ARENA BATTLEZ RP' are.

Oh come on, many people get to be "exposed" to that kind of filth and turn out quite right. Plus, it won't be you exposing them. Consider it a consequence of the stupid choices the admins do. And the kids won't go like "mommiiiiie, I just saw some porn, waaaah". Maybe some of their parents will even take some fucking responsibility, but that's just wishful thinking.

If I were to say flip out and totally ban everyone who brought up the ESF here because it's super duper annoying to everyone else, what forum would you guys meet up at to complain about me?
You're saying we've pretty much hit rock-bottom here, and we have nowhere left to sink to? :D

Hey, I've got an idea! Instead of turning the Codex into the Backup ESF, how about all you douchebags go register here or here or here.

And The Walkin' Dude needs to give Walkin' Dude his name back.

How about sending this thread to retardo land? If people want to talk about getting banned from the ESF, they can do it in PM.
