Let's Play - BGT with a Codex Crew

All right, thanks to this LP I think I'm finally ready to pop my BG cherry!

I've installed BG1 + TOTSC and BG2 + TOB + BGT.

Now, I'd like to use the widescreen mod to switch it to 1440x900 but can't find info on weather this clashes with BGT or whether my UI is going to get all f***ed up.

Suggestions?

The widescreen mod is Weidu so it should not mess anything up. I have personally found that anything higher than 1280x800 makes the characters to small. But I suppose it depends on your monitor size.

BTW - How badly cheating would it be if Paco goes to bed a Kensia one night and wakes up a Berserker?

Don't really care about kit thing. I would expect trouble with kensai on lower levels and you didn't seem to have too much of that.

Glad no one cares about the kit switch because it's done.

Anyway I have two updates guaranteed for tonight (well one chapter in two parts). I have about 600 more screen-shots that I need to edit. Those will be split into two chapters that I will try to post Sunday.

I have two 9600GT in SLI mode running on Win7. I read part of that thread but could not gt anything to really work and the Nvidia fix deal wouldn't install. Not even sure if it would help with the 9x series of cards.

Hardware acceleration has to be turned off for the widescreen mod to work properly so that is not the issue.

Also make another char. Maybe one with a little staying power. Although we are close to the time where the casters become tougher than the melee types.

As you can see from this, non-warriors are best served with 16 on and 18 Dex for +2 HP and -4 AC. Given the very generous 85 points, non-weighted, you should aim for those 2 numbers if at all possible for Max survivability. Also consider not dumping Int too far if you plan to live past midgame BG2, where mindflayers start draining Int and autokill if it drops below 3.

exactly, some more DPs will die but eventually, we'll have a powerful mage.

When will chzr level up? Whenever i see something die, there's a "chzr did xx damage" right above the death line, i'm curious to see if he has been able to take the lead over paco in xp in kills.

Think of the pile of bodies if we didn't have 85 points to work with. The Bio NPC average between 80-90 points.

Also people who dump int can't use wands and get stuck in Mazes for a god-awful amount of time.

Next Chapter.

I have about 600 pics from Durlag's Tower to edit. Going to try to get the next chapter up tonight (in 2-3 parts) because it will probably be until next weekend before I can sit down for 2 hours straight to make an update.

oh well, i guess someone had to do it :<

BTW I did a real shitty job capturing the battles in Durlag's Tower. The lesson learned is don't drink and play at the same time.

So long lil gnome, i hope at least you've stolen some shit. Based on my current playthrough pickpocket is a surprisingly good skill when everything costs 2x as much and you don't get shit for the stuff you sell...
