Quick update just so no one thinks I already dropped this.

1) I have about 350 pics taken for the next chapter. I usually take a pic at the beginning of every combat incase something odd happens (wild surge, death, level up) so I will use probably half of them. I still need to crop the dialogue pics as well.

2) The Vikings play tonight so more than likely no update today.

3) I have a GF who doesn't appreciate spending all my time in the basement in front of a computer. Fortunately she works a D/E split schedule and is going on the evenings for the next few days so I will be able to update quite a bit. Or go out drinking and whoring. Whichever seems good at the time.

This might be a stupid question but...

Is there anything that I can use from my desktop that will link to images and allow me to create the updates from something other that the Reply window?

Uh... notepad? I do not understand.

What I do in my wesnoth thread:
1: save all the cropped screenshots to a folder.
2: open notepad, begin writing update
3: Open the screenshots folder in Windows photo viewer, using back/next to navigate.
4: every time I write the comments that go with a screenshot, I paste in an
5: upload screenshots with the imageshack thingie in batches of 10-20 or so
6: Once the screenshots upload, use the window that pops up to retreive the URL to each
7: Copy the urls of the screenshots into the tags
8: Paste notepad contents into reply window on the KKKodex
9: Preview to make sure I didn't fuck anything up too badly

Seems to work pretty well. I'm not sure if photobucket has an application that lets you do the same.

That seems almost as much work as doing the whole thing in the Codex post window. I will give it a try though to see if it works easier.

Please sir, can we have some more update?

First you open "Post reply" in 2 different tabs and fill both with the linklist.




Than you press "Preview" in the left one. Scroll up where you need it to be and start commenting in the right tab. Of course it does not update in real time, you have to copy the commented list to the left and click preview again but it gives you orientation and frankly you only need to check it 1 time at end.



It looks really ugly here because Opera decided that streamlining is cool and removed the possibility to arrange tabs... They dont want me as a user anymore.

BTW I increased the picture resolution to 1280x800. This is the in-game resolution and it makes text much clearer in the screen shots.

UPDATE!

I'm shocked and intrigued that noone got killed. Also, are you using some kind of überloot mod? +3 leather armors, +2 swords and a tuigan bow.

I'm 100% certain the bow only dropped from the beast tamer in the copper coronet in vanilla BG2. Shadow Armor +3 is the armor worn by Mae'Var when you finish the thieves guildhouse questline in BG2 as well. Monty Haul mod

The amount of screenshots is a bit heavy. Any chance you could just type out potions and regular +1 stuff that drops instead of devoting a full screenshot to every item? It'd help the loading time immensely.

I'm not completely sure why that bow showed up. The +2 swords are from the original game though. I know i didn't install the BG2 items in BG1 mod but something else might have brought it in.

I did install a mod which increases the number and difficulty of assassination attempts. The bow could have come from that mod and I just forgot who dropped it.

Also I try to only post a shot of an item if it's the first time I received it.

I had high hopes for the sirens. Areas to the south won't pose any threat anymore (xept for drizzt if you are feeling suicidal)... so the survival odds are depressingly high for some time
Shadow armor is in BG1 and can be bought in Beregost.
