Finally , thats what the fan were really asking for, monastic orders, theocracy and papacy improvements ? No! Deeper incest mechanism...

I still missed those big-nose, potato faces char portraits from CK. Also, DVIP is the shit.

Feature inheritance and genetics seemed to be more obvious in CK than CK2. I also liked the old map better than the Clausewitz map - who needs a realistic map in a strategy game when you always have a political etc. overlay on.

Crusader Kings II: Way of Life is now available. This DLC focuses on events and RPing features, the main one of which is a Character Focus which allows you to focus your ruler's development in numerous ways.
This would work better if the AI actually knew how to play it, instead of pushing buttons at random. I hear that things get hilariously filled with hate-fucking, though.

I've just bought CK2 along with this DLC and I'm disappointed that apparently there are big problems with the AI and the new features. Does anyone know how likely it is that Paradox will change this in a patch? I'm unfamiliar with how good their patching process is.

don't worry, they will change it with a paid dlc in a couple of months.

It usually takes two-three weeks for them to release a patch that corrects most of the fuck-ups from latest DLC launch. Before that I usually just stick to taking a look at things under the hood, or planning ahead on how to personalize the experience.

I legitimately prefer EU3 to EU4 for precisely this reason (and others, but primarily that). The new 3D map still looks awful after all the tweaks they've done, I miss the 2D stylings so much every time I try to play their new games.

Edit because I glanced at some screenshots and it looks pretty cool: is CK1 worth playing if you've played 2? If so, any good mods or tips to get started?

I am a faggot who liked paganism, Rome, Byzantium, and exotic stuff in CK2, main reason I played it, all the western britain/france we are catholics and have knights and derp shit bores the hell out of me.
