The Last Federation has had an expansion, Betrayed Hope, released, adding a few new additions:

  • Betrayal Mode: Ignore your ideals and conquer the solar system with armadas of your own!
  • Invasion Mode: Obscura invaders have already wiped out one race, and now threaten all the others. Can you rally a counterattack?
  • 17 new ships, 2 new solar system backgrounds, 32 new abilities, 19 new achievements, 13 new music tracks, and 5 new quests!

Well I did research in these games. It's actually extraordinarily difficult to make them right. One change in a variable, an self-generated content would collapse. It's most easily doable by a psycho with talent on welfare, than by normal programmers with hopefully PhDs in normal company. It definitely doesn't help they made it as a bad shooter.

Actually, I wonder how was called that time travel game where you needed to nurture and control of development of several species to even have chance of victory?

Loved the idea. The execution however... Has this one improved through patches and with this expansion?

That's the case with many of these small Arcengames projects. They have excellent ideas that fall flat in their execution.

The game mostly lacked in combat if i remember right there was only one shit and it got old fast.
You were also too powerful in my opinion so it just turned into grinding.
