The lovely looking medieval fantasy mercenary company sim Battle Brothers has divulged a new faction for you to slaughter or get slaughtered by. The Orcish hordes make their appearance and look like neat adversaries. A later dev blog also has some info about a new UI, weapons and more Orc stuff. Here, have a trailer.

Really looking forward to this one. The idea of running a mercenary company in a fantasy world is criminally neglected in pc gaming. Have a look at the demo if you want a taste of it. Also do check out this thread on our forums. Lots of information from the devs themselves.

Looks like typical vaporware to me.

Well, to be a "vaporware" they have done nice job on PR, even here on the 'dex.

Thread: http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...brothers-a-turn-based-strategy-rpg-mix.89524/

Plus the released combat demo is pretty good.
Maybe the promised strategical side is a 'lil bit too complex for their own good, but I'll wait the opinions of someone that gets the "early access" or whatever. Maybe they'll fail, maybe not. So far, they have proven quite good to add new stuff.

Maybe, but the more something which continues not to exist gets hyped, the more vaporware it sounds.

The demo alone was some of the most fun I've had in a game this year.

Thanks for the heads up, will be keeping a keen eye on this baby.

Is this the strategical side that is promised? and why do you think it sounds too complex?

"The game consists of a strategic layer, or worldmap, and a tactical combat layer. On the worldmap you can choose where to travel next in order to find places worth looting, enemies worth pursuing or towns to resupply and hire men at. This is also where you manage, level up and equip your troops and engage in discovering ancient mysteries through study of dusty tomes"
