Rebel Entertainment has launched a Kickstarter for Storm the Gates, a game that mixes tactical combat and collectable card game mechanics. The game is set to have two factions, the Isenhal Empire Faction and the Orc Marauders Faction, and the game will utilize digital booster packs.

They are hoping to reach $400,000 in pledges

They have built some very fine games. Certainly not everyone's kind of games, but they were all well done from a technical perspective. So they have that.

And I also like the idea.
Unfortunately, all my trading cards/tactical needs are fulfilled just fine with Scrolls. And who knows how Hearthstone will turn out.
So, I'm chipping a minimal amount in, but my urge is just not big enough to give more. I'm also pretty sure 400k for a game like that seems a bit like reaching for the stars. I doubt the MTG creators would get that much if they did this.
