Kalypso has released a new developer diary for Rise of Venice, this time focusing on the game's mercantilism system. The game is expected to be released September 27th.

Pretty map, althought it could correspond more to Climate/Vegetation reality (since they went for a realistic map).

I like the concept, and the fact that it uses a real Mediterranean map.

Though I know Venice is more iconic, but would be nice to see this kind of game for the Hanseatic league instead. Something in the north of Europe instead of the Italian cultures.

I like how that map looks 10X better than Rome 2. All that CA money sure went to good use.

looks good, but it just seems way too similar to P3 for me to care... even so, i might buy this just to support this niche, P3 gave many a sleepless night and it was fun. Will wait a bit to see if we get any codex review.
