Can anybody sum up the video? Not going to click on a jewtube link.

No religious minorities in provinces? Meh.

Yeah that's very shoddy. Also no way to properly portray influential religious minorities worldwide at the time, like Hussites, Waldensians, Nestorians, Zoroastrians, Copts, Sufis, Ibadis, Alawites/Druze and, of course, the :keepmyjewgold:

Also, it is kind of bullshity to have a game with islamic nations and none of all these religious minorities that paid the Jizya to islamic overlords.

Oh yeah, forgot it: A religious minority system would also work to make the reformation more of a interesting situation as new christian protestants appear everywhere in Europe.

They really need IMHO to institute a Moral Authority system for every religion, too, especially for Catholicism, as a way to show the dynamics of the religion. I remember seeing some CKII AARs where Europe ended up a heretic-fest because the Pope had nill authority. That kind of thing should be able to happen.

Yeah, I really wish they'd add minorities like in Magna Mundi and other mods.

Funny that you should mention that. Because depending on how long EUIV's been on development, Paradox could have deliberately avoided making it sound like the late Magna Mundi? Hence the completely different key features.

Or maybe Ubik was right all along and there'll be a Magna Mundi-features DLC at some point. Wouldn't Skyway just love it?

I doubt we'll see much in the way of Magna Mundi stuff in EU3, the Europa Universalis games have always been simpler than the other main Paradox games, and the devs said they wanted it to remain that way.

Why would they want that?
Because EU as a series has always been the baseline game on top of which all the others build. It's "Baby's First Paradox Game" series.

Also the EU period is the most interesting one of all Paradox games, especially for us anti-determinists.
Which is why Magna Mundi was supposed to be a more complex game covering the same period. Unfortunately Ubik and the gang are incompetent losers, so it's not happening.

Yeah, that was a sad history. It would've been a awesome game... after the bugs were fixed, of course. Is Ubik and co still developing?
No they got kicked out like the morons they are.

And no, it wouldn't have been awesome, since MMU is already kinda shit and a full game by that crew would have been a total fucking disaster.

I was hoping for eclecticism where a province can be both Confucian and Buddhist. Also no word on how the conversion mechanic is gonna work or if it'll resemble the magna mundi system more.

Last I heard about Ubik, he was talking about attempting to sue Paradox.
They just renamed Magna Mundi to Word Stage. And supposedly released a demo. Naturally, the link to said demo doesn't work.

By the way, here's an interview (in portuguese) of Ubik and Co. talking about World Stage. He claims that the contract he signed with Paradox gave him the right to the Clausewitz engine, and he could sue them cause Paradox doesn't have the right to use it anymore.

After all, Carlos Gustavo showed us the contract and read it [...] in the ultimate consequences he could pursue claims against all Paradox titles that use this technology, including titles in the series Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, Victoria, among others.

Paradox has no rights to use the engine they created? Does he really think Paradox signed away EXCLUSIVE rights to their engine to him and his team? My god, Ubik...

Ubik gonna Ubik. According to him, as the contract didn't have a clause stipulating that he doesn't have the right to the engine, that gives him the right to it. So he's the owner of Clausewitz because the contract didn't say that he wasn't. Or something like that.

That website (for "World Stage") could not be more autistic if it tried.
