Leviathan: Warship has a review at Strategy Informer.

Paradox doesn’t do casual games, but if they did, they’d probably... well, look exactly like Leviathan Warships. Leviathan Warships is a great example of a game that’s deceptively complex – fairly simple, no fuss concept that leads to endless amounts of tactical micro-management and customization. For those of you who haven’t read up much about it yet, allow me: taking command of a flotilla of ships (typically can go from 1 ship up to around 6, depending), you must navigate through a small-ish map to seek and destroy your opponents flotilla of ships. Simplez.

The multiplayer was fun for a while, it was worth the 10$ I payed for it. The single-player might as well not be there.

Unfortunately, as time passed some balancing issues became pretty apparent. Two of the most prominent are:
1. One of the DLC ships (Barracuda) is very OP, it's armor and weapons placement makes it unstoppable.
2. A Misslie-Scout fleet in a proper formation can take out any other large vessel with ease, unless it's facing a fleet of Barracudas, or a similar fleet of scouts.

It was fun at the beginning as people experimented with different builds, but now a large part of the players use the OP ships. There has to be some serious re-balancing or there is no point in playing the game anymore.
if this was based on historical dreadnoughts i'd be all over it like shit on a blanket.
Yeah, whoever designed this game didn't know jack about sea battles.

ITZ more like naval combat from WH 40K with Maruders giving me very Chaos like vibes... Not very Historical but stylized on XIX century... Game is hard, cause not chaos weapons have better range and numerical superiority... You can customize your fleet and ships... game play is fun especialy in MP... Title worth 10$. Solid :4/5: with +

Heh Comrade Potato is right on his finding.
