Update #6

What is this...? Day Eight

The assumption is that a new piece of the puzzle will be released on a daily basis. - [Confirmed]

What is your take on this? Pagan DLC? Are those ice-flakes or cobblestones? Is something burning?

Note: This article will be updated as new teaser images are released.

A couple of years back I could have told you which exact romantic oil painting this is inspired from :(. Shit. Can't believe how much I have left stuff behind.

No.

Probably age of exploration or age of enlightenment. But I am not sure, since I am trying to guess only from the visuals.

Refer to William Turner for example.

NOT the Pirate, damn you.

Definitively the Norse Pagan DLC.
If they don't set the timeline back its :declining: because at that time were some guys in the most backwards parts of Norway and Sweden, other pagans (Finns, Lithuanians, Pommeranians, Cumans) were much more important, but noooo, tards want to play non-existent vikings.
Doubt they'd do such a major thing. It'll just be the fucking vikings. I'll eat my proverbial hat if that's some lake in the midst of buttfuck Lappland.

I'd rather a generic Indo-European paganism than one specific to a culture. Fertility rites, duels (low prestige and dishonourable actions could see you being challenged for leadership), sacrifices and a different morality (more sexually open-minded than Christians and Muslims? Though I also remember that Germanic pagan culture was very stern on monogamy) to make playing a pagan chieftain a very different experience to a duke or emir.

They set the timeline back in EU3: The original started in 1453, and the expansions set it back to 1399.
Through, if I remember my vikings right, vikings were around 800-900. Then Saint Olaf happened and the rest is history.
Still, EVERYONE ABOARD THE AHISTORICAL TRAIN!!!
Actually I meant that it's doubtful a DLC that isn't even a major one would do such a huge change. Since setting the start date back would mean faffing about with everyone and everything. Also it would force Paradox to break their sacred code and add in Jews.

it could be anything, but i care more if they will nerf the fucking republics than what the new dlc is, because if it's just as terribly overpowered, then fuck it :rpgcodex:

Looks like drekar or skei, so Vikings and Pagans. Extended timeline and bringing the True Religion of Swaróg & Perun to the Decadent West, or invading England with Cnut the Great and his uncle Boleslaw the Brave? Not likely... :(

As said, I'll eat my hat if those Oesalians or Karelians instead of fucking vikings.

To be sure you DID eat your hat, we want to see the video. Of you eating your hat.

Disclaimer: The Codex does not, and will not responsabilise itself for any digestive tract problems that occur from eating of said hat, nor it cares to.
Edible hat; it's like edible underwear, only less kinky.

If it's going to be pagan DLC then it's pretty much will be Lithuania The DLC, as much as I adore Finnish people (blame Mika Waltari) I don't think that finnish pagans played large role in XI century europe. Norse pagans are very unliekly because playing as count Randomsson of Shitholia is not really worth a purchase, is it? and pushing start date back to VII-VIII century is pretty much impossible because good fucking luck at figuring out name of the kings and dukes at the time, nevermind their dynastic relations with each other. But, they made a fucking Aztec invasion DLC so who the fuck knows what those guys are doing?

But, Lithuania The DLC would be a fucking incline:

Jogaiła* for the win!

Jogaiło - Typo made a Polish-Lithuanian king a chick.

Make DLC with playable Tutonic Knights, Templars and Joannites. Crusader Knights helped to defend Sweden from Danish machete rape squads shame everybody is getting a boner on bunch of sea pirates instead.
