what I learnt from this movie...

pros:
- erm, graphics maybe?

cons:
- HUGE interface panel (I thought Arcanum was bad enough before the patch), and I mean f'kin huge
- combat looks like Diablo
- it's being pitched as 'Action packed' (maby a pro, who knows?)
- the hero cometh to save the world story

none of these are new though

The part I liked the best was when they flashed Uses the SPECIAL Role Playing system on the screen and in the background, there's basically a combat slash fest going on between the character and three guys all wacking each other at the same time.

I agree about that interface. It's hideously large. One of the first comments I made to Eric Dallaire about the new interface is, "Why is it so large?" A large interface isn't much of an issue in a turn based game, but in a real time one, viewing area is critical. Then again, I guess that's one reason they added the pause feature. The interface takes up so much damned room, you have to pause just to look around.

Eric Dallaire tells me that the interface is downsizable much in the way that BG2's and IWD2's is.

Personally, I'd prefer if they went with something like Nox's tiny but pretty interface buttons.

Yea, the trailer really doesn't impress me at all.

Just looks like your typical isometric fantasy RPG... Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Nox... etc etc etc

I will still get the game though, just think that a better trailer could have brought some new players in. Instead they will just look passed it and wait for Diablo 3.
