CD Projekt devs have set up 5 blogs about the development of The Witcher at IGN. The same blogs are also available in Polish at CD Projekt's own gram.pl.

Kasia Kuczyñska - designer
On the blog written by Katarzyna Kuczyñska you will learn about designers life from the inside. She’s responsible for implementing main story in “The Witcher”. You’ll learn what “crunch time” is, you’ll read about the secrets of creating individual acts in the game, secrets of game designer’s work and about many curiosities connected with creating “The Witcher”.

Daniel Sadowski - engine programmer
What’s going on in “The Witcher” – i.e. producing the game from the point of view of a programmer. What is the legendary RED Aquarium? What’s its story and who are its inhabitants? How were various game elements made? Who is the most savage table footballer? These and many more questions will be answered on Daniel Sadowski’s blog.

Piotr Chomiak - senior animator
Peep at RED’s graphic artists’ work! Here, you’ll learn everything about their work organisation and technical side of creating graphics and animation.

£ukasz Mach - PR manager
Anarchist armed forces of CD Projekt RED. A bit about “The Witcher”, a bit about the author, a bit about author’s relation to “The Witcher” (say what???). Totally non-PR blog of a PR guy working on “The Witcher” project. No waffling on, no publicity, no nothing… or something like that… ha ha.

Piotr Szymañski - QA specialist
If you think, that a tester’s life is playing “The Witcher” 8 h/day, my blog will probably free your minds from this erroneous idea. The whole truth about game testing, which is peculiar survival in the abyss of a developers studio, served with a right pinch of irony and black humour, under the “grey” RED reality dressing.

The list of blogs is available here and according to CD Projekt, more might be available in the future.

the way it looks to me is once all the clamoring over the witcher dies down, and news items on it become far in between, you're going to disappear off the frontpage again

That's funny, in Germany, the stereotype is that Poles are thieves and steal everything, but especially your car. [On a more positive side-note, they're also regarded as cheap and highly devoted and efficient workers. Polish carpenters >>>> German carpenters. They might steal your stuff but they'll get done in an hour what German carpenters need three for, for a third of the price!]]

The Codex uses ISO 8859-1 encoding and does not support Polish characters.

That's funny, in Poland, the stereotype is that Germans are thieves and steal everything, but especially your country.

Congrats to CD Projekt devs for the successful completion and release of the Witcher. They really do deserve a nice long rest over the holidays.

On a side note, it is very heartwarming to see people of three nationalities getting along nicely together, under the communal RPG interests and of course fluent use of English, sort of epitome of borrowed language if there was ever one.

Wrong, in Poland, the stereotype is that Germans are arogant assholes that know how to make cars.

...but especially your car.

True, because we have the best auto-thieves in Europe (nothing to be proud of). You think that you have the best auto-alarm, think again.

That's funny, in Russia, we don't have any stereotypes concerning Poles or Germans. Weird.

You're just lying man...

Some people here don't like Poles, I won't deny it. But the same people usually dislike/hate Germans, Americans, Chinese, Jews and Caucasians as well, so you guys aren't getting any special treatment. ;) But hey, every country has its share of ignorant assholes, right?

So they're kinda like the Mexicans of Europe?

I do have to say that their women are more attractive than Germany's though. Did anyone see Germany's Women's World Cup team this past year? The refs should've done a crouch squeeze on each of em to make sure none were packing pork & beans. Because I'm almost certain a couple of them were.

uh, how can COD4, a 5 hour long game take the game of the year award ? if the multiplay is that good then make it best multiplay game of the year jeez.

Crisis would have been higher without the ultra shitty spaceship level and with the 10 hours of game the devs stole and put in the freezer for crisis 2.

whats up with the short game times ? most reviews dont give the ultra short game length much though, what the hell is wrong with them ? game length is the second most important thing after "being fun"

I see. Still, using £ and ñ looks silly. Reminds me of the 8-bit days.

I didn't do it myself, I used Ł and ń and that's what it converted them to.

Well, gaming journos love short games because they can play through the whole game before writing their review! Yeah, these folks have other priorities than most gamers...
