Here's the question, and my favorite answer:

My personal style of play is just plain greedy. I try to not have too many NPC followers if possible; although some can make powerful allies, others cannot be trusted, and they all take a share of the loot and experience. I opt to rely on animated dead, summoned creatures, and animal companions for that little bit of extra help when I need it.</blockquote>

I dig this man's style. The dead don't ask for their cut.

It lies nestled within the Kron Hills, 10 leagues south of the city of Verbobonc, somewhat east of the Lortmil Mountains and just west of the Gnarley Forest.
I bet Ivan Sulic, our own Gnarly dude of doomwould dig this location...

Given their track record and the interview I want to travel with as many of the NPCs as possible. *Love* the one that Tim talks about betraying you when you are all beat to shit. And let's face it any game that has a drunken NPC is good.

I wish Tim hadn't mentioned that one though. Somethings need to be left as a total surprise, and a henchman stabbing you in the back is definitely one of them.

Though given all the plotting and factions involved in and around the Temple, I'd be surprised if only one turns on the party.

Forget the typical balanced party... I don't like wizards and druids and barbarians and whatever... I used to prefer three monks (Earth, Wind, and Fire), but now I like having three Fighters with longbows!!!! I name them Salt, And, and Pepper! I give them cool feats like Point Blank Shot and Rapid Shot. These feats allow them to shoot extremely close and get off two arrows in one round! AND because I only chose three in my party, I get a lot more experience and gold than other jam-packed parties.

Choices and possiblities... finally.
Being able to complete the game with an unbalanced party says only good things about the game.

I thought the unbalanced characters in Arcanum was a good thing. But some people are so superficial that they don't understand that some people just might be more gifted then others. I mean they are all Marxist, wanting everyone to be perfectly equal with different attributes. Well lets face it, an uber ogre melee character will roll through most instances quite easily while a human won't, why is this so hard to understand?
