<a href="http://pc.ign.com/">PC.IGN</a> has posted an <a href="http://pc.ign.com/articles/401/401913p1.html">E3 based preview</a> of <i>Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines</i>, based on chatting with <b>Leon</b> of <A href="Http://www.troikagames.com">Troika</a> and checking out the boobies.. I mean, footage of the game!

<blockquote>"We're faithfully bringing White Wolf's World of Darkness to the computer RPG, in all aspects, from the setting and tone to the character stat system, to the way the Vampire's supernatural powers feel," Boyarsky tells IGN. "While embracing the action elements afforded to us by using Valve's technology, this game is still a Troika RPG with complex dialogue trees, rich character development, deep quests, plus non-linear, open-ended gameplay that allows the player to create their character any way they want from any of seven different vampire clans." </blockquote>

Okay, that's good. Non-linear is what I wanted to hear.

Yeah, I talked to one of the devs about the dialogue trees and it appears that this game should kick ass. There isn't a "dumb" dialogue though. I don't think idiot vampires are part of White Wolf's setting.

Should be interesting... not quite our Fallout, Arcanum but moreso than a Deus Ex which is great.

You betcha. Not everyone likes WhiteWolf's setting but apart from some of the visuals this game has "great" written all over it so far.
