Game has been patched after 10 years of mostly silence from kikiyama. I wonder what the countdown is for but I suspect it's an anime adaption of some sort (or hopefully a new game).

It's out.

From the looks of the reviews they'd gone with more puzzles, gameplay, and horror than the original game. People say it's more of its own game with similar theme than a straight 3D remake. Naturally fans are pretty mixed about this.

Also (naturally?) there are reports about bugs and optimizations.
