My current coding frustration is "Collision Detection"

So I had 2 Collision options to begin with...
Option 1 was:

Just look at the map data and say, 'Yes. you can move there' --or-- 'No, You cannot move there'

Option 2 was:

Hey man, you're not some retard, use "Collision Detection"....You'll need it elsewhere anyway...*derp*

So, Diagnosis:

Apparently, I AM some retard because I went with Option 2 (at this moment and 5 beers in...*hic*)..it sort of works...but not QUITE.

The beers (at this point) probably aren't helping...drinking #6 now as I type this, then back at it.

I'm gonna give Option 2 another hour or 2 because I think I'm close, but if my collision detection is still fucked, I'll try/switch to Option 1 and see what happens.

Stupid flag hanging around from when I first started working on the collision, I cut that code and moved it to a function...except that one flag....that flag fucked a whole day up.

Drinking beer, my goto solution for tough problems, failed me!

I may have to rethink my friendship with you, beer!
