Yet another sci-fi roguelike has updated, this time it's <A href="http://xenocide.e-plan.pl/">Xenocide</A> and the <A href="http://xenocide.e-plan.pl/index.php?dzial=download">latest version</a> was released a few days ago with lots and lots of super nifty changes. What are they? Read:
<br>
<br>
<blockquotE>Changes:
<br>
- New 6 monster types.
<br>
- New 37 items.
<br>
- Monsters (and player) can wear more than one activated granade, but there's a chance to drop them on hit.
<br>
- Stairs are marked yellow when not visible.
<br>
- Monsters can travel between levels.
<br>
- Improved 'get' command (select from a list if more than one item).
<br>
- Changes in Genetic Machine. Player transforms faster.
<br>
- Added Robots (made of parts).
<br>
- Added new player type - Mechanic - who is skilled enough to build his own robots.
<br>
- Added FAQ.txt
<br>
- Added check for proper console size.
<br>
- Minor bug fixes and changes.
<br>
<br>
Known bugs:
<br>
- When Intelligent enemy eats a pill, messages appear in wrong order.
<br>
- There are still some problems with Linux Xterm consoles.
<br>
<br>
Things that will (probably) come with next release:
<br>
- A story for the game.
<br>
- Drop/Get any number of items.
<br>
- Electricity status for monsters and items.
<br>
- More levels filled with monsters and items.
<br>
- Poisonous gases and masks.
<br>
- Reprogramming of CPUs.
<br>
- Tools for repairing robots.
<br>
- Implants
<br>
- Hidden meaning of items (like pill, grenades etc.)</blockquote>
<br>
<br>
Yet another sci-fi roguelike to find the value of making robots as a cool feature to impliment. Got to love it.
