It is the end of the 1st millennium and there is only war.
Vast hosts of Daemon worshipers from distant worlds have landed on heretic shores, punishing their apostasy with fire and machete.
Neither the guilty nor the innocent are spared from the servants of the Blood God. No shore is safe from their armadas. No army can stand against them.
There can be no peace in this age. For the Dark Gods lay claim on all lands between the seas and men have no choice but to pile their soft bodies upon the swords of their Anointed.
But for all their multitudes and savagery there is still hope, for the brave legions of the Imperium still stand between this world and it's fate.
The God has not yet abandoned His flock and He may yet shine through His servants.
Yet the Imperium is an unstable monument.
Enemies, internal and external, are watching and waiting.
Vile heretics and apostates have sought to corrupt the souls of the pure for 300 years. And for 300 years, the emperor's holy Iera Exetacy and mighty Tagmata have stood against them.
The Imperium holds. For now.
But for every enemy slain, dozens more rise to take their place in the line.
For there may come a time yet when the faithful place their heads upon the altars of the Blood God.
It is the end of the 1st millenium.

As some of you may know, there is an identical LP to this on another forum. I would like to think that most of you here know how I've toyed with this idea before in EU4 and that I spoke about doing such a playthrough on CK2 as well as HOI3. With that in order, time to begin.
