Why do you ignore so many people?

It's an honest question. Looking at the statistics, some people seem to ignore half of the dex (and SCO seems to ignore everyone). This makes me wonder - why do you do so? I understand a few people, but to put 30 people on ignore list is beyond my understanding. I assume it's not for attention-whoring. Here are the people I ask this question:

It boggles the mind that anyone could put me on ignore. They must have some very deep-seated psychological issues.

But im quite sure my answer wont be entertaining at all.

By the very nature of openliness and friendliness (or rather some form of anarchy) codex exhibits to every or almost every interned turd, retard, dumbfuck or moron out there ... really stupid posts of really stupid posters accumulate around here - a lot.
I do not see any reason why i should be forced to read any of it. Its like reading bugthesda or bioware forums all day.
Or, why i should force myself to even skim, or read through parts of those mental feces, in order to "avoid them" or "ignore them with powers of my mind" just because many would prefer everyone else does it in the way that makes them feel better.

Sometimes i ignore someone who doesnt fall into this group though, like i put Ed123 on ignore because he was brofisting each and every single post i made.
I thought that may disable him from brofisting... alas, it didnt... so i finally gave in and unignored him despite that horrendous avatar.

I do have skyway on ignore for example because... well... why the hell would i want to read or even see any of that shit?

And i have many of those that enjoy hubris (per Aristotle definition) so i dont forget who the fuckers are.

There are some good posters around whose posts i can read without getting a headache and falling into murderous general rage at decline of humanity etc. There is quite a few of those good posters that know much more than me about certain subjects.
And there are posters who are somewhere in between and there are those i can just "not pay any attention to" myself.
All of them occasionally write something that teaches me something. Or something truly entertaining and so on.

I think its safe to say that a few on your list feel the same or similar.

Except knotalt, for example, who ignores people smarter than him and those who dont see how awesome and smart he is.
He is probably a skyway alt and if not, than a very close relative. Like really, really, really, close.

Ignoring users is not for me. There are people I don't like and know to post only complete shit, but ignoring them entirely is just going way too far. Besides, there's some morbid curiosity to see how stupid/shit someone's posts can get.

I just saw that tennishero is the most ignored user atm. But why can't I view his profile? Has he been banned?? Outrageous!

Ignoring is for wymyn and fags, I just skip the wall of text posts unless they're game reviews or such things relevant to forum about RPGs and universal of humanity.
