Eh, if you get motion sickness from a video game, it's not the video games' fault. It's your weakness.

Otherwise everybody or at least most people would get motion sickness from it, which clearly isn't the case.

Nigga no one reads a Darth Roxor review.

Why did you even do it though man.
Motion sickness simulators are only playable to krauts and those as sadomasochistic as the average kraut.

Please, you were citing a bloke what can't into FPS at all and another who cannot into keyboard only controls. Besides you're of the opinion that new vegas melee combat was not shit.

I posted replies from two other people who got motion sick from Gothic 2. Here's some others. http://www.quartertothree.com/game-...839-Gothic-I&p=1955160&viewfull=1#post1955160
Having just finished Gothic 1 for the first time today, i can rightfully say so. Took time to adjust myself to motion-sickness-inducing camera

I've played a lot of RPG's, but G2 has the honor of featuring the worst controls I've ever used in the genre. Coupled with the fucked-up camera, it had me getting a headache every time I tried to jump into it.

Never again. To think, I took RPGCodex's recommendation as gospel.

No other games give me headaches like this (except the weapon sway from low-skilled iron-sighting in New Vegas which is supposed to discourage you).

I voted for Gothic , because this game is the perfect example of how to not make a trade screen . When I saw that shit for the first time , it made me rage . I will forever remember it , because of this .

Heh, I remember that a friend of mine would use two heavyish stones to deal with late game transactions (one went on the arrow key and the other on ctrl, I think? Haven't played Gothic in ages) and prevent his fingers from going numb. Good times.

I'm sorry if you get motion sickness, I'm sure it's not fun. But that you, two other people and some others suffer this from playing Gothic 2 isn't indicative of anything. People all over the world also get motion sickness from a wide array of 3D games. But again, don't blame the game, it's like getting motion sickness from traveling and blaming the car/bus/train/plane for it.

There are shortkeys for transferring items in 10 and 100 stacks.

Gothic 3 with the patch is looking p fun so far.

I'm curios if the open world gimmick is going to remain interesting for dozens of hours tho.

It doesn't. Varant is especially tedious. Eventually you'll get tired of the shitload of MMO style quests and the randomized chest loot.

Myrtana is the best are of the game. Varant and Nordmar seem rushed and not very fleshed out. They're huge areas but not particularly interesting.

You know in retrospect Night of the Raven should be considered an awesome New Game+. I am curios how many people here played it right off the bat (I remember an interview with Hoge saying NOTR is meant mostly for those that already played the game).

Yes, NotR feels like intended for people who finished G2 already.
In clean G2 you could pump out more than one skill and more than one stat (STR or DEX), NotR focus on specialisation.
Even better if you remember where you get items that improve stats and keep them until training take too much Learning Points. That's what I did with my Battle Mage build (melee with DEX based weapons+ranged+good magic, Mages faction).

Does it improve power of enemies? Yes, and introduce new one, like boars that RIP'n'TEAR you in a second. They were mini Shadow Beast.

Gothic 3 was okayish with the community patch. But its filled to the brim with bullshit do this and that quests and lacks direction. You can tell they were going for a grander scale of game but it just didn't work too well. If they reduced all the filler and focused on like 4 or 5 cities in distinct locations it would have been much better.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
Still the world is beautiful, some chars are very good again, and the atmosphere of G3 is, while certainly not as distinct as G1, still very nice compared to most other games.
I hope hivemind will enjoy it for what it is.
