What game are you wasting time on?

Finished Saints Row 2.

I didn't get around to playing it for a long time due to the horribly optimized port, but with the "Gentlemen of the Row" mod and "Powertools" it ran as well as SR3.

Glad I did.

Its a much, much better game then SR3, and flat out knocks GTA 4 face down into the dirt.
I didn't realize quite how badly GTA 4 lived up to the legacy of the first 3 games before.

Stilwater is what a "Next Gen" Liberty City should have looked like.
Colorful with memorable neighborhoods, instead of a drab brown and grey mess.

And don't even get me started on the Missions...

:salute::salute::salute:
to the Bros at Volition!

Edit:
Only thing I didn't much like was the soundtrack.
Commercial/News/Talky Stuff was fine, but most the actual music I didn't find very enjoyable.
The "Classical Music" station was much appreciated though, Rockstar hasn't put one in a game since GTA3.
After reading this post i installed the game (had it on steam), and I am def not glad i did. Seems alright, but the driving physics are not good, so i uninstalled it. If cars behaved at least like GTA3 (im not asking for Mafia 2 level of detail here), I would play it for sure.

Strange...

I didn't have any problems with the driving.
GTA 4 "Slip N Slide Turning" was much worse.

I could go fast and weave in and out of traffic in SR2 with relative ease...

There is a quite noticeable variation in how different cars handle, maybe you were only using the "bad" cars.

Also performance is affected by optimization.
Did you install "Gentlemen of the Row" Mod which fixes a bunch of bugs, and try optimizing your game with "Power Tools"?

The "GotR" even has the option of patching the game with a additional "handling mod" to further improve driving.
I didn't use it because for me it already felt fine...

When I tried SR2 on my old PC I also was turned off by horrible driving physics. But then on more modern PC driving seemed more or less adequate. Maybe it's performance thing.

As for me, I'm wasting time on F:NV now. Currently struggling withcompulsion to start over, but now with energy weapon specialisation.

Btw, who is a good companion, other than Veronica? I use her every time, and she is awesome all around, but I feel I need to try something different.

Playing Anno 1404 after a long time. Damn, this is still a relaxing, beautiful game, the best in the series IMO. Setting up your settlements, trading rare goods with different islands are pure fun. And as I said, it is so relaxing, I can play it for hours without stressing myself.

Tried Witcher 2 again. It likes my gpu now, didn't like my old one for some reason. Got a CTD at the end of chap 1 but kept going. Goddamn it's boring me. The only thing of interest have been two scenes with tit flashing.

I don't care one bit about the story, voice acting is pretty bad and every combat encounter up to now has been the exact same thing, the whole fucking thing is on massive rails and the interface is amateurish - and this is after it got 'upgraded'. Damn.

My experience is similar, but lack of playable pause is stressful.

Still playing Diablo: The Hell.
Due financial balance identifying items with Deckard Cain is not wise. But new class - Assasin - have this skill and do it for free. Why that one and not Mage? I don't know.
Already stopped at 3rd level due to skeletons archers swarm, immune to fire. And you need items with "-XX against ranged attack" or need some great micro in your dance.

Tried almost all classes, my impression:
Mage - relaxing due spamming fire bolts. WHEN SUDDENLY you meet mobs immune to fire/lighting (like most minibosses and bosses) and only thing that hurt them is physical damage. You may use Holy Bolt but I sold it:oops: you may just create new Mage and give it to Gillian (shared stash) just in case you like cheese.
Rogue - spaming arrows also relaxing until you meet tougher mobs that regenerate faster. Shooting through bars doesn't work now cause mobs learn to open doors, what a learning animals...need to get more Mana Shields. For some reason after some fire fights with Shift-turret action my bows wore out pretty fast.
Gladiator - dual wielding ftw. sword in one hand (best against non-undead) and mace in other (best against undeads) + Fury.

Characters' skill for new classes have no disadvantage compared to vanillia one.

9/10 would Stay awhile and Listen more.

I just finished Dead Space. Really good action game with controller. Mouse+keyboard would probably make it too easy. Next in line is DS2.

Lagrange Point. 'Cause I'm a Konami fanboy and I must listen to VRC7 music.

Now, I have relatively little experience in JRPGs, but the gameplay seems pretty similar to the only other JRPG I've played, which is Chrono Trigger. Well, maybe the combat is a little more dull since the random encounters are so simple that they even give you an "auto resolve" command.

That being said, the setting is pretty cool and I think an in-depth remake could do wonders for Konami (and for the sci-fi RPG genre) seeing that they only have two IPs to milk right now.

Oh yeah, music is brilliant as expected. I would love to hear a film quality orchestral/synth arrangement for the opening theme.

all the talk about far cry 4 got me to go back and give FC3 a shot. I've put like 4 hours into it and I'm still not sure... it seems like enemy positions still do refill instantly but not just from you walking 20 feet away

Started FarCry3, really great so far. I have never understand all the flak the FarCry series gets.

I've disabled all markers on the map, so finding stuff is actually rewarding. Im playing it on the lowest visual settings, and still looks very very good.

Is there a way to disable that black outline/shadow thing around everything?

Just finished Deadly Premonition. A severely flawed game in some aspects but at the same time awesome and unique. Very well written (with surprisingly good English translation and VO) and the free roaming is combined pretty well with the adventure aspect and the survival horror part.

Playing FC 3 on lowest ?!?
Upgrade your toaster mate.
Yeah will do at some point. Its just that most games run fine for me, so i never had the need to. Plus i mostly play older games. But that 5770 is getting old now, was a great purchase though.

Just finished Deus Ex. My god, where has this game been all my life? It was beautiful and (almost) perfect. Great story, awesome characters, emergent gameplay and, oh, those sweet augmentations. I really cannot believe I had missed out on this thus far. My favourite thing though must have been the giant open levels with all them delicious secrets and alternative paths.

Favourite scene in the game is this though:

"You are carefully watched by many people. The unplanned organism is a question asked by Nature and answered by death. You are another kind of question with another kind of answer." Instant storyfag boner

Did a multiplayer run of the Mystara game with 2 other bros. Joined mid game, stole all the loot and ended up having more experience points than both of them combined :M

Were you using a controller either time? For some reason driving with WASD in SR2 is even more of a pain than it should be

Did you notice the absence of the WTC towers in the NY skyline?
