Infinitron why do you guys hate pictures with such passionate hatred? Fuck you and fuck your giant walls of text that don't get supplemented with accompanying pictures.
For anyone interested in the (Stanley) hotel in question who wants to see what it looks like without having to open Figaro's webpage:

P.S. I'm afraid people are going to get bored with this constant winter-like setting pretty fast. Why not have Nuclear winter, desert wasteland and overgrown forest locations all in one game?

Because Nuclear Winter
latest
(that's MISTER Nuclear Winter to YOU, dear sir) ended up fighting alongside the Freedom Force heroes to stop his mad protege from starting WW3 in the first act of Freedom Force 2. Obviously he died, otherwise Wasteland setting would never have come to pass. I assume that Alche-miss bitch killed him. Fuck that game took a step up in difficulty once she turns into Entropy
(aka 'does a Phoenix Force', naked rip-off, but also totally forgivable and well-played given the silver-age comic book setting; really should have seen the 'character with powers suspiciously similar to Jean Grey crossed with Poison Ivy ends up turning into Phoenix Force style end villain - I think I face-palmed for every Energy X cannister I wasted on upgrading her powers until that point in the game!
.

Edit: Gazoods! I just checked the Wikipedia page for "Freedom Force vs the Third Reich" and some foul rogue has besmirched Nuclear Winter's good name by reporting that HE was responsible for going back in time to turn the Cuban Missile Crisis into a hot nuclear war! FAKE NEWS! He was just trying to swing things slightly so that the USSR got a better deal, it was Red Oktober who wanted nuclear annihilation!
