Well it kinda/sorta makes sense.
Team A: Wasteland
Team B: Tides of Numenera
Team A: Bard's Tale
Team B: Wasteland

Though it's weird giving the sequel to a different team. :M

It's not confidential, one of the media articles said so.

Not entirely different, Keenan has transferred.

I don't think he's involved with Bard's Tale IV anymore. He was originally supposed to be but everything switched up when Kevin Saunders left.

He was project lead for at least a few months. :M

Fig seems like a dumb idea compared to Kickstarter. Why give up equity when you can just sell pre-orders like on KS.

More money for development mean better production values and better production values means better sales, on the end the company wins even if it sacrifices a bit.

Co-op JA2 would be nice. Though it would be frustrating to play without time acceleration. :|

Because if you can convince investors that returns are good, you no longer have to solely rely on mostly broke gamers giving like $25.

How much investment money do they actually pull in though? I mean significant investors.

I could be wrong but I feel like anyone with enough cash to matter wouldn't be interested in doing business via a crowdfunding platform.

Not saying it was a good idea, but that it seems to be the motivation behind selling shares. Besides, it's non-voting Preferred shares, which is different from voting Common shares.

Cool. I admit I haven't spent any time reading how it actually works, just seems like a gimmicky thing to get people interested in shitty games.

who wanna bet there will be downgrades?

If you mean the "screenshots", there's nothing to downgrade from.

There's made up bullshit "prototype screenshots" to sell the game and then there will be the actual graphics.

Edit: Unless they're making this 2D like Torment, I didn't pay too much attention to see if there's any mention of it either way.

The game will look slightly better than Wasteland 2. Don't expect anything else.

So let me get this straight, they started with kickstarter, released a few games that sold quite well, but after each project they ask for more money. Why? oh because people are throwing money at them... ok...
