Has anyone recently played it? Last time I've checked, the latest available version is the 2.5 one. Does it have an actual endgame/ending now? How does it compare with 2.4? Is it fully playable/fun? Or should I wait for the incoming 2.6 patch?

I have only played a quick game and that was a few years ago. Nice to see version 2.6 use a more pleasing UI. I am surprised that there hasn't been as much activity from the UFO community regarding this game.
