Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I have had an epiphany while criticising various RPGs upon this forum, whereby those criticisms have been voted down by such tags as 'autistic' 'retarded' or 'shit' .

As such, I would like to take the opportunity to thank the Codex for being such a comprehensively inclusive forum. To think that I have been following this central pillar in the supporting community of RPG excellence for over 20 years, and was always under the impression that it was a grognard central, hardcore traditional site of unwavering classical RPG standards, and to now finally see Codexian members so embracing and so avidly defending the likes of Beamdog, of Pillars of Eternity, and of the latest Battletch game (among others) is such a welcome (it's 2018) change. To finally see the Codex itself lowering its prestigeous standards and reviewing such games and summarizing them with: 'meh, they were awight' fills me with the intrinsically positive notion of thought and feeling that perhaps the niche that was the RPG experience is now being socialised across every genre of gaming and (dare I say it) that the Codex itself may finally be taking a thoroughly more communist approach to gaming overall; whereby all games are equally 'meh' and there is barely a simmering rage at the loss of standards that have seemingly dissipated to the mists of time and memory.

For surely that is the path to true gaming excellence.

So as this founding site that is such a beacon of intellect within the RPG community multiplies in ever expanding circles to accept such members who hold these games as the new standard; as the Codex forms these new circles of acceptance and reaches out to those members to stroke the ego of acceptance of this new generation of gaming developers and fans, as the Codex accepts that these developers tried; let me tip my hat to you - fellow sir, madam, or distinguished peer - that the Codex is now flavoured with so much more diverse and accepting sentiment in its continued forward thinking, and its ever relaxing and expanding of what some critics would percieve as a mere Freudian psychoanalysis of anal retentiveness...

When it is clear, dear peers, that the Codex is now so much more loose in its interpretations, no more the (if you will forgive the bluntness: arsehole of the internet), but rather a 'welcoming niche' and subsequently so much more of a...progressive place than it ever has been before.

Gomenasai, my name is Sono Kuso Inu-Sama.

I'm a 35 year old American Otaku (Anime fan for you gaijins). I draw Anime and Manga on my tablet, and spend my days perfecting my art and playing superior Japanese games. (Disgaea, Final Fantasy, Persona series)

I train with my Katana every day, this superior weapon can cut clean through steel because it is folded over a thousand times, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on earth. I earned my sword license two years ago, and I have been getting better every day.

I speak Japanese fluently, both Kanji and the Osaka dialect, and I write fluently as well. I know everything about Japanese history and their bushido code, which I follow 100%

When I get my Japanese visa, I am moving to Tokyo to attend a prestigious High School to learn more about their magnificent culture. I hope I can become an animator for Studio Ghibli or a game designer!

I own several kimonos, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to Japan, so I can fit in easier. I bow to my elders and seniors and speak Japanese as often as I can, but rarely does anyone manage to respond.

Wish me luck in Japan!

I think I triggered That Damn Dog. That Japanese character seems to mean 'drop dead' or something along those lines.
That Damn Dog when you try to move to Japan (they probably won't accept you because less than 1% or something of the total population are migrants/Gaijin - wasn't it Iteki if you wanted to be really rude? So no Japanese women for you) can you at least ask them to make us a decent Japanese feudal era RPG with western RPG mechanics.
Thanks.

It is the imperative form of the word "die", used as a command, so yes

hot take: fallout 4 almost has the best story in any fallout game and maybe in all RPG

there is no obviously wrong faction: there are good arguments for helping any of them and they all do some things right and other things wrong, and you could discuss all day which one is the best one. new vegas almost does it, but the legion is obivously wrong and evil. f4 doesn't have that.

the story mixes a very personal drama with a larger political story about the destiniy of the commonwealth, and a philosophical one about the nature of humanity. There are many games that do one of those, but all 3 at the same time ain't easy. and the personal quest could have been one of the most dramatic of all times. how many games are there where you have to kill your own son?

if it had been conveyed better, it could have gone down as a masterpiece

Codex should crowdfund Beamdog to enhance Fallout 1. We need rework combat - make it rtwp; more playable races - ghouls, supermutants, deathclaw; same-sex romanceable NPC's.
