20-40 hours is the right and proper length of any RPG.

"Protip impossible to return backward when you finish a zone so finish all of the quest before".

What in the fuck. Between all the cut content shenanigans, this pisses me off the most.

Not condoning this, but maybe there's a story reason behind it? Like - Sargus Cliffs gets destroyed?

I haven't paid much attention to Numenera after the Kickstarter. How much butthurt can we expect on a scale of 1 to PoE?

Some of the things mentioned on just the last few pages here make me go :hmmm:.

After poe/wl2dc/tyranny how fucking stupid does one have to be, to still get dissapointed by these "revival" games. By now it should be obvious that these ye-oldie-studios have lost "it".

ALL HAIL THE INDIE-OVERLORDS (que marching track)

I bet Todd Howard will appear to the release party.
Seems appropriate.

I know the game isn't going to be very moddable, but I just want a mod where the player character, every NPC, and every enemy, is replaced with a sprite of Todd Howard. And a few audio clips of his G3 promises for combat cries.

About 0.78 poes of butthurt. Fargo had the opportunity of becoming the grandaddy of rpgs making games with a hint of nostalgia and incline. Instead he became the flasher who jerks off publicly next to Playstation highway.

That feeling when the Codex slowly comes to the realization that Shadowrun turned out the best of the "big" Kickstarter titles.

Lets not count out TToN yet. In few days the truth will be known.
And Shadowrun was not one of the big ones, at least not in the first round.

Pretty sure it is inXile's fault that a lot of indie games don't get as much backers as they should. Deadfire could have easily reached 5M if it wasn't because of people afraid that Obsidian would Fargo the game.

I keep thinking that I'll be able to play T:TON tomorrow, but then I keep remembering that I have a third world internet connection which will have to download an eight gigabyte patch, on top of work and an out of town meeting. And I'm not even that optimistic about the game. But I just want to be able to play some vidya and see the fruit of an investment I made three and a half years ago.

Interesting thing to say considering that of all those games this one is going to be the most similar to the Shadowrun games.

Strap Yourselves In Codex+ Now Streaming!
Is there anyone left here who pledged for the game and didn't ask for a refund?
If yes, did you already receive an additional GOG key on top of the redeemed Steam key for the beta/early access?

say what

Heavily dialogue-based, a limited number of set-piece turn-based combat sequences only, simple mechanics based on a loose adaptation of non-D&D PnP system. Party size, number of companions... an unusual futuristic setting melding technology and magic (though I guess that's a stretch)

But I said this on Shoutbox, didn't I? Even if this game turns out to be underwhelming, logically it shouldn't cause any more DRAMA than Shadowrun: Hong Kong did. No trash mobs = no butthurt. But we'll see.

Shadowrun? Nigga please, I played deeper RPGs on my smartphone while taking a dump. In fact this is what I'm doing now, taking a massive dump and thnking about Shadowrun. It just makes the poopoo roll out smoother.
