Not a fan of this kind of sci-fi corridors, this one somewhat reminds me of FF6. The Oasis is was a favourite of mine from the get-go. Shame there are virtually no RPG-ish games set in water-based worlds (afaik? aside from Mannan KOTOR1).

I am reminded of the mausoleum.

Judging by the amount of brofists for Pyke's post, I guess the Codex loves crushed blacks and bloom? :happytrollboy:

I would suggest waiting for the paintover pass and the lighting system befire judging that T:ToN screenshot.

I'm personally not judging it. They game is in very early stages when it comes to environments. I have no doubts it will look good.

To be honest I quite like the Torment 'clean' look - but colour correction and engine shading changes SO much of an image. If you saw what most game art looks like before post production you would be horrified!
I'm interested in seeing what these areas will look like with the normals, lighting and other effects that the Tides engine is using on them. InXile are brave to show WIP work! I certainly don't have the balls to do it!

Actually, Pyke was going to be making some areas for Torment! But then he had to go and fund STASIS (Yay!) and understandably became too busy making his own game. But perhaps with enough pressure from the Codex he will relent...

Pyke, how long can you resist the lure of Torment? =)

Heh, I've actually known about Pyke's work with inXile for a long time. Don't remember if it was public knowledge or not.

If you can convince 5000 Stasis backers to hold out until Torment is finished.... :D

PS - Im still crazy bummed that the stuff that I was going to do has probably been moved to another artist. It was so completely fucking awesome.
