Case in point; Dead Space, where the various horrific, macabre, and excrutiatingly painful ways to die in the game were used as a marketing gimmick.

Or Sniper Elite V2. Somehow I think if TR had closeup X-ray shots of bullets perforating Lara's ovaries people would raise a fuss.

Did you read the last pages? I posted a lulzy article of a woman being "violated" by Tomb Raper(supposed to be on BTE) and somehow the thread got derailed by the microagressions Tumblr. Nobody here is talking about fucking Lara anymore. Also, some men aren't properly been educated in the ways and behaviours of women unlike girls who are educated on men and them rapists ways(not that they listem BTW), so yeah nerds in the Codex.

Btw, was TR Chronicles any good? I didn't had a chance to play it much back when it came out.

Chronicles is the worst of the old TR games, level design doesn't reach the previous games at all. It's quite obvious that this was just one last cash-in on the popularity of the series before they switched engines. I liked the Rome levels and the Ireland levels with young Lara, but the game is overall much easier than the older ones and it's very, very short in comparison.

It's not really that bad, but it was a huge disappointment after the excellent TR4.
